Claude Puel is on the brink of being sacked by Southampton amid player unrest about his methods (The Times).
Regarding Silver; As Chazz has stated before he actually failed and the last three games couldn't have been much worse. He dropped some right clangers, if Clement had done the same he wouldn't get a sniff at another PL job.
That's pants that is. Think someone had a vested interest in seeing him fail. Some anorak will come on and name names I'm sure.
From what the Palace chairman said a few days ago Silva's agent called and begged for an interview, then the next day he was announced as the new Watford manager. This isnt sour grapes or anything but there's something about Silva that I dont like.. The way his agent works, the fact he's insisted on having a break clause in his new Watford contract so if he wants, he can leave at the end of the season. He's a young manager who seems impatient to get a top club.
There's a good chance Slutsky will wave to Silva as they pass one another next May. If Watford haven't sacked him by then.
As much as I and we all like him, there is zero doubt about it - his is a mercenary with a massive ****ing M.
