    My 13-year old son is mad for Star Wars in a way I never was. He goes to see all the films, he watches the cartoon series, and he's excited about the release of Battlefront 2. I was never a fan of the series, but the latest incarnations are so boringly safe and referential to the original films, they amount to little more than their intended audiences favourite childhood dvds remastered with much better effects. I'm just happy he's at an age when he no longer needs me to take him to the cinema.
