There are a few Hull FC fans on here including myself. My wife posted on here a while back and supports Liverpool in the Premiership and follows Rovers. I wish them well at Wembley. Was there cheering for them in the 60's when they were beaten by Widnes and happy for them when I came from Aus for the final in 1980 and they won against FC.
I'm a Hull fan so I must be in the 10%. Great game by Rovers today, got very nervy at 18-20 but I'm really chuffed that they pulled it off. Albert Kelly, what a half back and hard as nails, hope they go on to beat Leeds in the final but they'll need to up their game even more.
Hull fan too. Are we up to 11% yet. Been to a couple of Challenge cup final'sand it's a good day out. Some might find the dressing up and such like a bit plebeian. But if a bloke dressed as Darth Vader walks past and several hundred people start singing his theme tune, I happen to find it amusing.
Bet 365, they were offering 23/10 with a +10 handicap for Rovers as well, given how poor Warrington have been at times this season and how much the game meant to Rovers I thought they were very generous.
I had a cheeky fiver on Rovers immediately after Warrington had gone 6-0 in front, Rovers had gone out to 7/1 on Betfair, crazy after only one try and in the semi-final where anything can happen. It paid for the Chinese.
Hull fan but happy for Rovers to have made the final. Great day for our city yesterday. Long may it continue.
It's nice to read the posts from the Hull fans above, it's a refreshing change not to read a load of crap from the diehards. We all know some take the rivalry to the extremes on both sides but i've never been like that. As I said above, I hope Hull go onto win the play offs and put our great City in the spotlight again. Thanks for the best wishes
Hull FC fan, but so happy for KR and there fans , and its a great advert for our City, was bursting with pride come 12pm last night
I found BV's take: http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull...liant-Rovers/story-27526683-detail/story.html Check out the best rated comment.
Went to my first in 1950 and then every year until I left the UK in 1966. Three times in that period Hull teams were beaten finalists.( FC twice in successive years) In 1950 as an eleven year old I went via a school day trip by train. After the match saw my first Ice Hockey game (Wembley Lions v Brighton Tigers) and had my first Cola drink (Pepsi). Loved everything about London on that trip and eventually came back to live and work there for about 4 years in the 60's. Been back for 3 Hull FC finals at Wembley since living here in Aus.( They didn't win.) My wife has hung up her traveling boots so we will not be at Wembley to watch her Rovers side. Managed 1 FA Cup Final(1966) just before I left the UK and in 2014 came back for the City v Arsenal Final.
Advantage sport will be loving it, their key demographic forced to stand near their shop for hours, business will be booming.
Well done to Hull Kingston Rovers and one in the eye for Gary Schofield and his predication. The snooker club will be quietier on Saturday 29th august that is for sure.
Erm... no, I'm a KR fan, as earlier posts in this thread suggest, if you actually read the thread. That is the comment I was suggesting was written by BV. Also, I thought you had me on ignore? That lasted long. Must try harder, my uneducated friend.
