Feyenoord vs Southampton, in Rotterdam, during July - final details to be confirmed it seems. https://translate.google.co.uk/tran...witter&utm_campaign=nieuws&edit-text=&act=url DTLW
I feel like we're the good kid at school who's hanging out with the wrong crowd with Feyernoord. Some of the stuff their fans do is terrible.
Sounds like a good trip to me, fly into Amsterdam, 25 minutes on the train to Rotterdam, watch the match and then chill in Amsterdam for a couple of days before flying home.....I'll have to plan this well so that the wife thinks I'm away working somewhere.
Hopefuly this happens, as i am moving over to the Netherlands in june. also hoping if and that is IF we get into europe in some capacity that we get a nice away day in either belgium, holland, or germany! as i wont be able to attend many games next season
Can't go to the Everton game though, can you I'm very envious of you in case you hadn't guessed, what with your French HQ and being able to arrange "work trips" to coincide with footie abroad (apart from the fact that you'll have a house full of in-laws soon, whereas mine live a only few miles away, so never have to stay with me.)
I read a great piece on the history of that picture and the great timing of it. It also tracked the lives of the boys and what happened to them. One of their tales was quite heart breaking. I'm in Holland in late June, can they bring it forward?
http://moreintelligentlife.com/content/ian-jack/5-boys This is a very interesting article about the taking of the picture and the lives of the 5 boys. Both Harrow boys had sad stories...one had a history of physical and mental illness and died aged 60 in a secure unit, whilst the other died at 16 and his father died in a Malayan POW camp.
Friendly scheduled against FC Groningen, former club of Ronald, Erwin, their father Martin and also Dušan. It's also 'home' for the Koeman family. Game to be played on July 18th, in Groningen. http://www.nu.nl/groningen/4049713/fc-groningen-oefent-ploeg-van-ronald-koeman.html
Just read up on Europa and the 7th place team in England or 6th if Villa win cup start in qualifying round Three, which starts on 30th July.
Let's hope we come 5th, or 6th and Arsenal win the cup. If that happens, 6th go straight into groups... ...or if you're a bit nasty, and prefer Villa to win, we'll just have to get through qualifying, but one of LFC/THFC will miss out altogether.
