After seeing Sam laughing with SAF at the ManU game earlier I reckon he is being lined up to replace Mourinho if things do not pick up at OT. Just as plausible.
I see that it is too early "to write ManU off yet" but we appear to be down and out despite the injuries. ManU have been found out against those around them and prone to defensive errors against lesser teams. Mourinho just does not seem to know what tactic to use or formation to adopt.
That is literally the worst statistics abuse I've ever seen. Is Moyes supposed to receive some job security now because of his average record 4 years ago at another club? Man U will surely give Mourinho at least this season and only think about sacking himi if they're well away from the Euro spots come April time, Moyes should be given time, it's hard to think any manger could be doing well in his situation. but Sunderland's history dictates he'll no doubt be sacked anyway.
Absolutely spot on - but some seem to think that Big Sam would be able to sort it out immediately and all of a suidden the players out long term wouldn't be injured any more.
At least we can both concentrate on the cup in our next games, get that dastardly EPL off our minds for the next few days... right who are we playing... Man... oh for **** sake.
I've noticed that you're often knocking people for not sharing your blind optimism but then a lot of what you post is having regular little digs at other posters. I see it all the time and let me tell you it's no better for forum positivity than criticism of the team.
My "blind optimism" has gone though nacho - read through my recent posts! And that comment is more focussed not on people on here (as, from what I see, most seem to accept that, with our injury list, most would struggle - a lot just want moyes gone cos they don't like him, others due to results - me, I just want what's best for my club), but more on people I drink with and some of my family members so you've got the wrong end of the stick (admittedly probably poor posting from me but see my signature for that!) My Dad has said "Get sam back - he'll sort us out straight away" - My brother the same and my Mother too. And a large number of the people I socialise with think similar just because he did it last year - I argued that no manager would get much out of a group of people with zero confidence and a massive injury list - particularly when you get a massive kick in the bollocks like we got on Saturday - so apologies for making this sound like it was pointed at people on here but it wasn't
The guys on Sunday Supplement were discussing Sam Allardyce going back to Sunderland, it was fairly unanimous that they all believed it was never going to happen. They said the squad is weaker than the one he left you with last season and it took a monumental effort and good fortune for him to save you last season, so he'd have no reason to go back. Managers are given way, way too much attention for my liking this day and age, they can't ****ing win the game for you. The players have their own responsibilities too, many of our players yesterday just didn't have the mental capacity to deal with going a goal down after 30 seconds and we fell apart. Maybe I'll be pissed at Mourinho for his selection, but I'm blaming the players more as they lost the game for us, they were ****ing pathetic.
I understand your honest & emotional views -I have concerns about Moyes but I will stand by him until the situation becomes untenable - we do need stability. Likewise we need positivity at Sunderland games or we are going to be seen as pathetic laughing stocks with pathetic fans esp by the media. All we need is a touch of good luck. This forum is for emotional negative rants & good info An unexpected 3 pts on Saturday -KTF
Good post - completely agree. However, as true as this is, it is easier to change a manager compared to a team over haul. Owners / chairmen don't want the shoite associated with bad results to land on their doorstep, so they have to make a change. That's when the manager gets it.
It would be a very bad PR move to get this guy back. He's got no credibility left. His smart move will be to go abroad and rebuild his shattered career.
If the Manager doesn't take the blame for the team playing **** whats the point of having one he would be taking the credit if they were doing canny with a weakened team so do without one and save a couple of million a year I think he is f ucking useless the boring negative t wat.
