Aye, both he and Santon considered 'not good enough' by our wonderful coaching staff.

There has to be something wrong at NUFC. 2 players leave us for peanuts and within months are full internationals. It can only be man management or coaching, both of which are sadly lacking at St.James' Park.

To be fair I don't rate MYM or Santon that highly (Santon has huge potential). I just think they are a bit better than what we have.

When you have people like Steve Stone [a second rate PL footballer], John Carver, Andy Woodman and formerly Alan Pardew [the man who thought that Marlon Harewood was a better player than Carlos Tevez] judging abilities of players then you know there are problems. Mbiwa was never given a fair crack of the whip. He is showing very quickly just what a good player he actually is. Santon - our best left back by a mile until he was loaned out and sold. Yet, you have utter ****ing dogshit like Mike Williamson, Gouffran, Obertan and Sammy judged to be good enough. Madness.

To be fair there was a bit more to that than meets the eye though wasn't there.

Mbiwa got plenty of chances for me. He was just poor both at full back and centre back. Te excuses put forward for him just don't wash for me. Those who claim he was not a right back are missing that he was signed as a guy who could play in a number of positions. He came through as a right back at Montpelllier, played left, right, centre and even in the holding role. He just wasn't very good and was outperformed by none other than Willo at times. My problem is getting rid of Mbiwa, its not replacing him with a good centre back or even a centre back. Mbiwa has done ok at Roma but they never got out the group stage of the CL. He isn't making the French squad with any regularity (dropped for recent qualifier) and has been dropped by Roma too. They haven't won a league game since the beginning of Feb and he had a shocker against Fiorentina in a 3-0 loss at home.

I don't have a problem with getting rid of Mbiwa. It is the fact we flog him don't replace him and still have to watch the dross you mention (though Obertan did ok earlier in the season)

They should be first out the door. It's inexcusable for the club to sell players and not replace. I don't buy the clubs argument that there aren't players available. Of course there are. They just want to wait and try and get them on the cheap. Having to rely on Mike Williamson is suicide. Now that we have no recognised fit left back, we really have been shafted.

That's their philosophy every season. A mediocre outlook from mediocre people at the club.
