The top of the table Chairboys have a tough away trip to Manchester to play the Shakers at Gigg Lane having rolled over the Minstermen last week alas only 1-0 but it was a good display all round in particular from the newcomers Fred and Beano, the Shakers had a free weekend having had their game at the Crown Ground postponed on Friday night so if they rolled up at Adams Park on Saturday to watch us we may have the Shakers rattled. Gaz has one major injury doubt with captain Pail Hayes struggling with a calf injury all I can say is snap as so have I for the last 11 days. This will be a difficult one but we have a good record at Gigg Lane and with our away form we should come back down the M6 with at least a point
I'd be happy with a draw but if we can finally covert some of our many chances we might come away with all 3
the conditions sound to be getting ridiculous, and there really isn't much quality in this game by the sounds of it! 1-0 bury, alfie mawson at fault
No subs surprised me, good that Holloway can last but fresh legs may have swung it our way. Saying that a point is a good result and still top of the league.
His studs got caught in the mud i read so hardly his fault, even Ainsworth says the game should not have gone ahead because of the statew of the pitch which was like glue in places. I've seen photos and i've seen matches called off where the pitch was in a better state than today.
having seen the replay now I would have to agree - that game shouldn't have gone ahead and mawson cant be held accountable for that goal. having said that, a point away at bury isn't a bad result, given that many of those behind us didn't win either
Only Shrewsbury realy but that was expected at home to Hartlepool who looked doomed and it's only january.
