So, now yet another batch of hounding seems to have finished, are the corporates doing anything in particular to support the cause of others?

I do know of a few from those seats and others around them that have walked away on principle, and as the Allams rolled a few out to support them, presumably they lay some store by their opinions.

 

Or give up their time to mod on a message board

 

what about giving up their time to participate in a forum?

What was the point of the hounding, I haven't the time to read back. It sounded like a simple bit of bartering to me, a very acceptable way of paying for something, a win-win; of course he paid something.I'm not sure why bartering deserved a battering.

Corporates should be a valued part of every club. Their advertising, sponsorship and match day attendance is, by varying degrees, the life blood of all sports down to grassroots. They bring individuals to games who wouldn't normally be there, they spread the word, usually a good one. If they wish to offer an opinion that is fine by me, just as it is if they don't.

 

You didn't pay 500 pounds though.. That's not how it works. You weren't out of pocket 500 pound.

If I charge $100 an hour for doing someone's tax return, and then help out my mate on the weekend with his tax return, and he gives me a case of beer in return, I'm not paying $100 for that case of beer.

 

I watched "Question Time" this evening. Indeed,unsurprisingly, our "subscription scheme" was not raised at all.
However, I had an ironic smile to myself when Alex Salmond used the phrase "The plagues of Egypt" in one of his comments to one of the audience questions.
Was a good show tonight...lively audience, decent panel.

 

We were taking the piss. I'm not sure I like this use of the word 'hounding'. It sounds very metrosexual to me.

And yes, thank God for the corporates, not enough people take the time to think about the poor, poor corporates.

This genuinely is shocking. The scope for people to be separated from their hard-earned cash is unbelievable.

 

Quite a few of those points and a couple of others were pointed out on here within a very short time of the thing being made public.

Remarkably, some seemed to think "ah, but they wouldn't do that".

There is still the issue of the cost of membership. The club have said it's free if you sign up early, without being clear about what happens if you don't. They've been taken to task for that sort of thing before.

 

I must have missed those post earlier.

They're as good as saying, we are going to trade your details for profit. I've never trusted DDs - that's why I've always paid cash up front. But the hidden admin charges and the ability to change prices is very concerning.

 

At Least we're Hull City again.

the Hull City matches which a Member or Additional Member is entitled to attend at the Stadium depending on their Membership Level. For all Members and Additional Members this excludes any cup or friendly matches at the Stadium unless the relevant Member/Additional Member separately purchases a ticket to attend the relevant friendly match (each such ticket to be individually loaded onto the relevant Member’s/Additional Member’s Stadium Access Card).

 

The supporter outrage from almost the minute it was made public shows that people saw through the basic elements of it very quickly. People looking deeper into it seem to find more reason to avoid it, and few if any to back it.

It's remarkable that someone has sat and thought it was a good idea.
