Do you mean the community shield yesterday? I got rid of sky last month, got myself an android box, kodi, iptv stalker with ivue and I get all the sky channels, including BT Sport so I got to watch it, and its free with an epg, saving me £60 a month. Sportsdevil is quite good as well, if its not on sky. Btw you didn't miss much.
just found out about the ole kodi! having a mare trying to get it to work mind you. I am using my laptop tho, and installing something called wookie ! idk? head scratcher
Never heard of Wookie, I just got superrepo and the one with sportsdevil in, use genesis for movies and tv box sets, ivue and iptv stalker for live TV, sportsdevil for streams, soundcloud for music, and Phoenix/Navi X as a backup to genesis.
Yeah that's all I did, use YouTube, took me about 20 minutes, I use the nightly builds as well, kodi 16 I think it is, couldn't get the live tv to work with the safe version. Ive even got it on my kindle.
Jeez, you young'uns! All I hear is techno techno blah blah widget! English lads! Talk English. Or provide a translator for us old farts!
easy to do - only downside I 've found over the last couple of seasons is staying on top of all the updates - and it's a bummer when the screen goes black half way through a match . as stated it's free so cannot grumble too much
Blackcat Steve is 77, knowledgeable in computers, dinkuts, trinkets and sex toys.. If you here a sort of thud tonight then that is Vince's head blowing up when Sky goes off..
Well Im an old fart, but Im sick of talking through friends and family about how to set up and use Kodi/XBMC,NaviX etc. TVMC comes with KODI all set up preconfigured to use straight away. Just download and install TVMC from the links below, there's a Windows and Android version. Windows. http://www.tvaddons.ag/tvmc-windows/ Android http://www.tvaddons.ag/tvmc-android/ Read up on those download pages just so you understand roughly whats going on and you are sorted. If you haven't got an Android box do a quick search on eBay you can get them for about £30 from China pre set up ready to go out of the box. IMHO go for at least 2Gb ram . (Even though my K5 that I have had for awhile still works perfectly fine with just the 1Gb. ) If you see one you fancy stick the link up and get peoples opinions on it.
Is anybody here on Sky Fibre for their internet provider? I've just blagged a year for peanuts if I re-commit but not sure whether to if the performance is poor. Been guaranteed 25.5MB/s but should be between 28 and 36 at all times.
I read on here a few months ago about cancelling your sky package and they will offer you a discounted package. So I did, and sure enough a letter comes through the door offering me 50% off. Cheers lads.
Ha. Imagine he phones the leccy company threatens to leave. They say **** you. Disconnected. No leccy. Sky deal waste of time.
