Ahh but we have a Marketing, Communications & Ticketing Manager... On a serious point - wtf do the first 2 parts of that role have to do with the last part?
That was my question though? I am aware of the role of a head coach at almost every club which was the entire premise. It seems in an attempt to clarify I was construed as arguing which given my priors is understandable.
It's got to be the weirdest job title since a Shoreditch based retailer advertised the position of Customer Happiness Hero.
North Tyneside Council employs a Domestic Abuse Coordinator. Given some of the misogynist nomarks that live around here, I've always thought that employing someone to organise such a sordid state of affairs was both unnecessary and a flagrant misuse of my Council Tax.
This thread has moved a bit since this morning. Has someone made an approach for Silva or is it another 7 pages of plumbers vs electricians?
I didn't know that Luke was the press officer these days. First I saw was him sat alongside Marco at a presser recently and then today saw he's listed on the website. Luke is a good guy but as far as I'm aware he has literally zero experience in this and always used to do the pro zone stuff, which is obviously easily transferable when dealing with the media in the most watched football league in the world... Par for the course when it comes to employing people under this regime - 'let's not bother looking at experience of the actual role, but who have we already got in the building who can fill in at no extra cost?'
On the subject of Kit Men, is ours (John Eyre) the only one in the top few divisions that is used in pre-match warm-ups? To be honest, it's not all bad as he helps firing in crosses and shots at the keepers. He pinged a fantastic one in the top corner during the West Ham warm-up against David Marshall. Not sure what that does for Marshall's confidence, mind - being beaten by the Kit Man.
In the warm up before Saturday's match, Marshall was deputed to ping crosses in for Jakupovic. It's fair to say that our reserve goalie is unlikely to make it as a winger. One of the warm ups they did was for Robbo and Grosicki to swing over crosses for Evandro and Niasse who thumped them goalwards as the keeper tried to dive out of the way. It was the most Sundayleagueyist warm-up I've ever seen professionals do.
