So who can we seriously try and sign for next season

I was thinking. Who do we realistically believe we could sign if we have say 70 million to spend?

I'm just talking serious options not wants etc.

I would like to see Sigurdsson.

I would also try a sneeky bid for Gibbs.

Finally I would try for Delph.

Whoever Rafa wants is fine by me. Judging by last summer I think we'll be surprised by a few of the players he brings in. Nobody was expecting Richie or Hayden, and certainly not Murphy or Hanley.

Defoe has been mentioned for a number nine but I'd stay clear in all honesty since he is only going to go downhill at his age. Cairney could be a decent back up for Sigurdsson who I don't think we'd get but neither would be cheap.

 

Aye i fancy cairney aswell. He looks class but I think we might be down the pecking order.

I also liked flint for Bristol city. Solid defender.

 

Shawcross would be a good signing but Stoke will probably want to keep him and maybe he wouldn't want to move.

 

Isn't he out of contract next season. I'm sure I read somewhere that he would be open to a move.

 

One year left at the end of this season as far as I know. I'm assuming Stoke will offer him a new deal.

 

If I was playing a computer game I would buy Jordan Pickford, Harry McGuire, Kieran Gibbs, Fabien Delph, Tom Cairney, Gilfi Sigurdson & Willian José... But unfortunately football is not like the nintendo so let's just wait and see what Rafa can do.

 

I think it could be an interesting summer. I really like Cairney if we could get him. Sigurdsson is mint so of course would be a good signing. I think we could do with someone with a bit of experience. We need a LB as well I think. Someone like Kolarov from Man City might find himself surplus and is very experienced and a tough nut!
