I've wanted Austin at Saints since QPR got relegated, it was a really nice feeling when we signed him.

As for VVD, Oriol etc not being mercenaries, who knows? Things are great at the moment but you know Liverpool Spurs etc will be waving big money at them soon.

 

I'm afraid that given our apparent keenness to extend contracts, the fact that Oriol hasn't extended his contract suggests that he has chosen not to (does anyone seriously believe we won't have offered him one?). So I expect him to be off in the summer.

I think it is just swell we are debating whether we should indeed have been awarded the penatly that was awarded for us and debating the penatly that should have been awarded against us that wasn't given. About bloody time

You know we only offered him a new contract in the international break, if what I read is true? In the summer, he wasn't a first team regular, so wasn't as deserving of the new contract as others.

 

He could also have been reluctant to sign a contract in the summer (if one was offered) for precisely that reason.
