He looked like he was getting grey hair on tv. Also I heard from someone ITK Arsenal are looking to buy him in the summer, after he signs a new improved 180k a week deal with us until 2024.
Arsenal could do a lot worse, but if I was Stevie's agent I'd be insisting on more that £180k a week.
He just fitted in today as if he's never been away. That's what I guess is so annoying about him. Listening to Ray Parlour on Talksport today discussing Dean Sturridge's injuries. Parlour reckons in his playing days everyone was carrying knocks, he reckons Sturridge thinks he needs to be 100% fit for every game. I reckon Steven Taylor thinks this as well. He's had far too much time not playing.
That's cobblers. Granted the bullet he took against Villa missed all his vital organs and hit his brain, however after missing a game or two for recovery he was straight back in action.
Him and Colo and Tiote have an understanding because of the years they have played together. They were incredible today. So many contenders for MOTM
Easy to get carried away. I had serious worries about a Colo/Taylor partnership in terms of pace and against a more fearsome attack I think they could be found out big time. Taylor is an average EPL CB and always has been. People try to make our like he's total ****e because they like to do that with our average players because they are not world beaters, especially if they are local lads (for some reason). I suppose in Taylor's case he's always been a bit of a 'big time Charlie' but he's also always gone out and given his best.
Aye but that was when he was young and naïve. He's since learned that if you want three months off just take it. Can't blame him really.
Turns out we have five central defenders who can do a job. And one of them isn't willo. Best situation in six years?
Amazing what a week can do in football mate. We do need stonger players in those positions though. Saylor and Dummy are great back up to Chancel. Colo will need replacing soon too so I think we'll see one in for the Summer... and one the Summer after when Colo goes. We will also get that left back in for the Summer too.
