I think we have to accept that the Pozzos run a football resource business as well as Watford and .........................

So I think best not to interpret every deal in light of Watford.

As for Brexit the Pozzos sitting both sides of the fence must have advantages.

But at least we are making better progress that Newcastle.

As above... this is how the Pozzos operate, and this is probably how Udinese felt a while back!

Udinese have always had a ridiculous amount of players on their books, but most are out on loan. Buy cheap, let others develop and hopefully sell on for a profit - in the hope maybe a few can break into our own first team! It's what Chelsea have been doing for a while now too, and if this strategy helps build a stronger first team all the better

Just a shame we don't seem to have that pull to just get work permits for every young player... like maybe some of the top teams do <whistle>

Typically confusing as ever with these deals!

EDIT: Read elsewhere it might just be a loan move..

Chalobah for approx 5 mill then add ons has to be one of the best deals in the EPL this year . He knows the club and some of our players and has played with Hughes at U21 .He reported to have turned down 60k per week to move to us ?

Just looking at the reaction of Chelsea fans on Twitter shows how disappointed they are to lose him - many saying he was the one they wanted to keep and thought could make it. £5m is an absolute steal...

Certainly looking very strong in midfield, so just think we need to do a bit of upgrading in defence and maybe another winger, then we should be ok

I think we still need a first choice CB to partner Seb (there is always injuries and suspensions so the others are great back ups) and a proven striker to help Troy. As we've got such good bargains so far there's no reason we can't break the bank at £15-20m to achieve this.

Definitely CB - and seeming Zouma is/was available to loan, would love us to have enquired about him, but seems to be going to Stoke (would love us to have gone for Gibson too but way too expensive now). But we do need to get rid of probably 3 CB's before we can bring one in. I'd want to keep Cathcart, Prodl and Kabasele. Let go of Britos, Kaboul and maybe Mariappa (although imagine he is on a relatively low wage, and home-grown)

Need a Left-Back. Robertson seems to be going to Liverpool now, so lets hope Arsenal lower their valuation of Gibbs (although maybe Silva will rate Mason as Holebas' back-up)

I think Silva likes a 4-2-3-1, so we need 2 wide players. At the moment we have Success, Amrabat and Berghuis but can't see all 3 still being here, so think we need one more (Grosicki?) and wouldn't mind seeing Pereira given a few games as cover too

As for attack - not sure we will do much unless Okaka goes,,,

Guess it all depends on Silva and what he has seen in training so far

    We got NC for 5m!!

Another striker is a priority now, surely. Or a winger who can also play as a support striker.

If Berghuis stays we won´t need another winger, I hope he does but doubt he will.

Then a CB or LB and we are done, and IF that happens we are looking very decent with a new manager and all.

For the CB, Kevin Wimmer is the name that keeps coming into my head. Not first choice at Spurs but no idea if available or would want to come, just a hunch <whistle>

Juan Carlos Paredes has returned to Ecuador..

Had a great debut - went downhill from then on!

Bit like Johan Gudmudsson for those who remember him from the late 90s scoring 2 on his debut...
