Good time to pop up a build up thread. It's DIck's first derby and first home game. Charver's first derby. Aj's first home game back. Colbacks first return to the SoL, Less than a 1000 tickets remain(942 at me last count) so a certain sellout. The late kick off time. Bad tempered, horse punching, town trashing Mags given the freedom to roam the city. Potential 5 in a row. There's loads to talk about. Haway!

Potential five in a row. We had five in a row in the 2000's, didn't hear much about it to be honest.

I did, every mag I know couldn't wait to remind me. Besides, if we can make it 5 in a row, it's gives us a shot at 6 in a row and that's never been done. :p

If he plays AJ, he'll get dogs abuse and his confidence would be shot to bits.

Do I hope he's innocent? I honestly do, hand on heart.

Would it stop me tearing into him at every opportunity? Would it hell.

But to suggest Newcastle aren't the sort to rub salt into the wound and have a good brag...

We're at home. he'll get more support than abuse. The dogs abuse didn't effect him when he came on against West Ham, he looked lively. The abuse won't be as bad as that no way.

I wouldn't bet on it mate. The nature of the "alledged" offence and the fact that it's a derby game will magnify the WHU game x 1000. Rightly or wrongly its a big piece of ammunition to use. You lot wouldn't pass up the chance, no way.

To me he looked absolutely shook mate I thought he was gonna cry when he was waiting to come on.

Being at home though I reckon he'll be ok so long as you're not losing when he comes on (if he doesn't start). If he's got the crowd on his side he might make the difference.

I'll take the opposite view to that Sombre, any abuse directed towards AJ will drive him and the team to greater effort to secure a win. Hopefully.

Are you saying your 4000 away fans are going to out voice 42000 home fans more then west ham's 32000 home fans out voicing 3000 of our away fans? No way. I'm not saying you won't use it as ammunition, you should, we would, and might seem load as **** in the away end but it will barely register but when you consider every time to try to mock him, we'll retort in support. The chants at west ham filled the entire stadium and could clearly be herd over the commentators.

If the Match was at St James i'd agree with you. But we're at home, there's know way in hell you can come close to replicating the stick he got on Saturday. I'm sure his mind will be more on his role as Mag Slayer then it will be fearing few thousand of your fans stuck up in the rafters trying to register your pisstaking.

Aye but when he came on he got involved, got his head down and beat a man, even created a chance. It wasn't a man who looked like he didn't want to be there that's for sure. He'll not get a fraction of that grief against the mags. Somb is dreaming if thinks the mag fans can create that kind of noise stuck up in the corner. They just don't have numbers or the acoustics to do it.

I don't deny that, we do it regularly. Did you even hear the west ham fans? It's was the sort of volume created by the sound coming from multiple areas of the ground. Three sides of a ground singing in on a pitch packs more wollop than a fraction of the number restricted to one area. Just physics init.
