VILLA ON THE HUNT According to the Telegraph, Aston Villa have made a £3.5million bid for Swindon Town duo Massimo Luongo and Ben Gladwin. Both midfielder are 22-years-old and Villa's bid has already been matched by recently relegated Queens Park Rangers, but Swindonwould prefer £4million for the pair. Tim Sherwood and Chris Ramsey both know Australian Luongo from his time working with them at the Tottenham Hotspur Academy. Just pick this up on sky sports feed. Luongo was one of the stars in Asia cup this year, haven't heard of the other guy
if they are any good pay the 4 million and get them signed show some nice early intent for the future
We should start a book on how many Spurs/ Spurs academy linked players we end up with. I'm going for 5, including the inevitable loans. No problem if they are good.
Good, hungry players but not sure if we need them both? Ben Gladwin is another player Swindon have plucked from non-league and has had a really good season this year. I'd happily take them both, but they need to be playing if we're going to splash out £4m for the pair.
Luongo could be the energetic box to box player we sorely need. At 22 years of age, represents some potential re-sale value as well. Must be a player Ramsey knows well from his time at Spurs. Sign him up.

Blimey EG, I´ve never heard of the guy before and you have not only brought him you have already sold him on for a profit without him even playing for us. Tidy work, you´re not part of this Libor ring are you??? LOL
Player profile for Massimo Luongo here if anyone's interested http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/massimo-luongo/profil/spieler/181687 Again weather we get him or not it's encouraging to see we are trying to do our business asap. With the rebuild needed we need to get off the starting block fast.
Does the club have much of a transfer budget? Surely it can't be wise to spend millions of pounds before getting clarity on the FFP penalty.
