Spot on. This is a new chapter for the club and its not going to get much better until we have new owners.
whats your opinion on the allams current strategy stevie? Do you think theyve a very low budget with regards to recruitment, using income to pay off chunks of there gift?
In the summer I fell for Ehab's interview where he stated we would be attempting to get back in the prem at first attempt. I don't think anybody can disagree that that is clearly not the case, no team will get promoted with a paper thin squad like ours made up of mostly kids. To most city fans and the vast majority of neutral supporters, what there doing has all the hallmarks of recouping as much as possible and replacing on the cheap. Even to the extent that I wouldn't put it past Ehab to delay signing players till the end of the window just to save money on wages! My personal opinion, I think they have no idea whatsoever how to run a football club or more importantly have no idea about football full stop, meaning they have looked at what Marco did last season when bringing in loans, and thought , why don't we do that! It worked for half a season with Marco(I know we got relegated, but it was mid table form under him). But at the same time they are very much treating it like a business now whereby if they can reduce outgoings and make a yearly profit, they may just continue to run the club like this. Will they sell - i think there is 2 possibilities, one been they do the right thing and recoup there debt and sell us, or two and more worrying is they are malicious and arrogant enough to put us right back where they found us financially before trying to sell us. Not great but either way we get our wish.
Pretty much agree Hoping its abit of short term taking a few steps back or being lucky on the pitch and keeping competitive as long as they recoup there gift and sell at a reasonable price and leave, time will tell but i think alot need to lower expectations as were being ran on a low budget
Speaks volumes that it took until only a few days ago to appoint a chief scout. Hopefully it may still come together enough by the end of the window for us to challenge this season, but, even if it does, the past 3 months have once again been an utter shambles under Enob. Edit: .... and 3 more months where we have continued to be shat on by the club's owners.
Look on the bright side. Every pound of PL parachute money, every pound received from players sales and every pound saved on wages will be accruing in the bank. If, as stated, the Allams primary target is to sell the club this can only be good news. It will mean they can repay as much of the Allamhouse loan as possible which then means they can sell the club for a more realistic price. Depending on the timescale, we may well be a League 1 club when this happens. One thing is certain, the more money they spend on players reduces the prospect of a sale. Would fans be prepared to accept short term pain for long term benefit?
Given what relegation did for Southampton and Leicester, I wouldn't be against it either. Wolves went down and bounced back, there's only really Wigan and Charlton that haven't been successful. And yes, I do consider Portsmouth's takeover by their fans to be something successful.
Any That really isn't much of a prediction is it. Go up to Xmas seeing how we go and if we look close spend 5 bob on a player if we cannot get him in on a free. If not looking good then stumble through to the end.
Lol seriously! Do you honestly believe he's talking about anything to do with hull city afc..... If you do you really need to get out more
