Trapped....... Really enjoyed this Nordic Noir series, good story, decent acting from unknown actors, stunning scenery...... It was shown on BBC 4 earlier this year and we have it on RTE at the moment, the last episode is tomorrow night, so no spoilers please..... If you haven't seen it, but like this genre, see if you can get it on play back or box set.....but make sure you wear your thermals whist watching because it is the coldest you'll ever feel watching TV, huge amount of snow can fall overnight in that part of Iceland but everything keeps on working unlike here where 1cm of snow brings the country to a stand still.....
Quality series, yet another fantastic Nordic noir aired by BBC. Hope you enjoyed the gripping finale Tramore.
Thanks Tramore, I'll have a look for this. I watched Fortitude and thoroughly enjoyed it, there is some excellent TV coming from around Europe. Another I thought was particularly good was a Belgian series called Salamander a couple of years back. http://www.theguardian.com/media/2014/feb/07/salamander-bbc4-belgian-thriller-bridge
I saw 30 minutes of something called Hinterland last night. A Welsh Scandic noir. Set in Aberystwyth. Including subtitled bits in Welsh. Very dark, both figuratively and literally. Didn't make me want to watch any more.
