They will beat us. I maintain (boldly) that we could lose every game from now till the end of the season and still stay up. Burnley and QPR look doomed and there is no way Hull or yourselves will catch us given the fixtures you both have. Anyway, I have actually taken to supporting you guys as my personal boycott (boycoutt?) of Newcastle matches continues.
Hull have frightened the life out of me winning today thought they might get a point but no way thought that would win. They could quite easily beat Liverpool on Tuesday night the way the scousers are playing and they also have Burnley to play. We could feasibly get 5 points and let's not forget Chelsea and Arsenal will probably have nowt to play for by the time we meet them so we could nick a point off one of them. I would be feeling as comfortable as a Newcastle fan as I am as a Sunderland fan which believe me is about as uncomfortable as it can get.
Newcastle need possibly no more points but maybe 1 or 2 points more and have 4 winnable games left (that isn't saying we are going to win them at all, I would accept just drawing our two home games!). Sunderland need 5-7 more points and have about 2 winnable games left (you may do significantly better than that ofc). I hope and still expect you guys to stay up but I don't think we're in the same boat just yet. I would agree with anyone who suggests Newcastle are the worst team in the league though. We have been for most of the season, a fact masked by a run of 6 wins on the bounce in November.
Where the f##k did that win from hull come from??? Think they will do Burnley as well. Lester doing what we did last year but a little sooner, hope we stop that winning run! No results in this league are predictable, can't see either arsenal or Chelsea rolling over for us so stating the obvious.... we need to beat Lester and Southampton as I can't see another point from anywhere else.
after next weekend, it could look like this: leicester v mags - home win hull v arsenal - away win lads v saints - home win, please!! villa v everton - draw scousers v qpr - home win hammers v burnley - draw Foxes 35 Mags 35 villa 33 safc 33 hull 32 qpr 27 burnley 27 crackers compared to a month ago
Mad mad league! Think qpr and Burnley could be down, just keeping fingers crossed we have enough to get away with it again. Don't care now who goes down, so long as they don't wear red n white stripes.
Just done the predictor giving us two draws(Soton&Everton) and a win (Leicester) please log in to view this image
Mate I'd be surprised if we avoided defeat in all 3 of those. Might need to win v Leics and one other. Southampton seems the best chance.
I was being as optimistic as I possibly could but we don't lose loads, just seem to concede heavily when we do. I'd like to think we have two wins in us but we're draw specialists. I think they'll be more.
Funky I think you've got that about right. The question mark there is Hull though, only three more points? Burnley (H) I assume you have them winning, I think you give Liverpool too much credit as I suspect Hull will get something there and maybe against a "nothing to play for" Man Utd. I agree with positions but think you'll need to get another point than that. Terrifies me to say it as it means Newcastle still probably need a point or two.... ffs.
Newcastle have lost 7 on the bounce, but with Cisse back after Leics and Siem De Jong back now, I think they'll get another point from somewhere and I reckon 36 will be the safety net. Leics have Chelsea next who are probably about to hit party mode, Hazard on fire, they could get a reality check on Wednesday. QPR have gone. 100%. they could win vs Newcastle and Leicester but 33 points is good for nothing. They simply had to win yesterday. Burnley need goals, fast, they're not getting them from anybody. To me they're down but still have four favourable fixtures so it's still in the balance. You cannot afford to roll over to the Saints. Best defence in the EPL vs the (joint) worst attack... Sod's law says you'll batter them. Must not lose, Saints need to be shown respect, go all out attack and they'll tear you to shreds. Smash and grab tactics for me. Hull battered Palace who themselves seem to have gone on holiday. They just won a 'must win' game, that shows they've got it in them. Still plenty of twists and turns yet.
watch sotons pace on the break it will crucify our lumbering defenders it looks a palace senario all over again to me ,as we ourselves must attack to win for the golden points at stake
