My team for Norwich. Taylor far more attacking than Berardi O'Kane deserves a start. Midfield has been overrun in recent weeks. Doukara is a big lump, and knows where the goal is. Pedrasa has been disappointing, especially if you consider his 8m price tag, but has shone glimpses of brilliance. Dallas works hard and adds stability ---------------------Green------------------- Ayling-----Bartley----Jansson-----Taylor Roofe------Viera------O'Kane----- Pedrasa or Dallas ------------Doukara-----Wood-----------
Liverpool need a loan of players themselves ffs. They're useless. Palace even battered them again yesterday
Our problems in a nutshell Green... No problem Ayling.... No problem Bartley... Going back to swansea Jansson.... Going to the prem Taylor... Gone Roofe... Not good enough Viera.. Going to one of the big fours fifth team O'kane... Average at best Pedrasa/ Dallas... Both overated and need shipping out Duke.. Poor Wood... Leaving
I know what you mean. I couldn't bring myself to look at any of it. Won't watch one minute of the playoffs either
Soooo ****ing close to being a brilliant season. Still, all I've got left to hope for is the pressure changes an ****s the minds of Fulham and the wendies and we play like it doesn't matter
Forget the close. It has been brilliant this year, whatever the outcome. Got to go back to 2011 to find the last time we had hope.
Eire Its Klopp thats crap, anyone can get rid of 2 of the best strikers around and make a twat if themselves. Sturridge and Benteki any team in the country would have them. Deserve all they get
Honest assessment of where we are now the dream is over. Dallas is a complete passenger, pedrasa a waste of money........ Just cant see monk, wood, pontus and bartley being here so we will in effect be starting again and we still have plenty of dross nobody will take off our hands,
Klopp is hopeless thankfully, but no worse than their last four or five managers. Possible exception Rogers
I think it would be a positive if we sold Jansson. He can be a liability at times, and GM could buy a new defence with the money we'd get for him, plus backups, plus a surplus to spend elsewhere. If there's one thing GM can do, it's spot a defender, so I'm confident next season's defence will be as good as this season's. And if Bartley is one of the resultant signings, I'll be delighted. Similarly, if Wood goes (and who could blame him?), we'd get another hefty wodge of cash to splurge. But enough of this speculation - no fat lady (of any significance) has sung yet!
Agree wj on Jansson but not on Wood. Regardless what wed get, it would require all of the cash and more to sign a guaranteed 28 goal a season striker, never mind the wages which we cant compete with anyone on seemingly. Wood must be kept at all cost to show any kind of future planning by owners. What we need is another of the same quality but thats unlikely
Don't get me wrong - I'd be delighted if Wood stayed. But I don't think it's a realistic expectation if we don't go up to the PL. The other thing that worries me is him repeating the form of this season. Would he have scored as many if we'd had 2 up front? Prolly not, as it would be a different game for him. Don't think we'll have the same formation next season, whatever league we're in. I also recollect McContract's seasons with us. He was arguably our best striker for a long while, but even he only had 2 good seasons. He started off poorly, then a good season, another poor one, and finally a good one. Consistency cannot be guaranteed, as we found, & it is my concern that Wood might develop a similar pattern. Hope not! Reason McContract sprang to mind is that I only saw the newspaper report about his op last night. Looks painful, but not as painful as I'd like it to be.
He also looks exposed when Jansson goes walkabout, & extremely anxious when Jansson does the fancy footwork in dangerous areas.
