Well the Chairboys are over Valentine's Brook for the second time and with just five more hurdles to overcome they are still third with a length lead over the chasing pack even though not jumping the last two fences well the final jumps look alot easier and to think just 12 months ago they were trailing at the back of the field looking like finishing up as tins of dog food. Now its bottom of the table Robins turn to visit Adams Park and the Chairboys will be looking to put to bed the last two games and go on an unbeaten run to the end of the season. We will all be hoping Sam Saunders will have recovered from a tight hamstring and be back in the starting line up and as far as I know there are no new injury concerns. I have had to forego this one as I have had to pull out all the stops to get too the last home and away games of the season but I will be following the game in any way I can and expecting the lads to put on a good show or as least win and be sitting on 77 points come 5pm on Saturday
Let's just hope the manager of the month award jinx doesn't continue. Most people would expect this to be an easy game but we are Wycombe and don't do things the easy way. Think we'll win but not by much, 1-0 probably. Lets hope Bury lose at Newport which is possible and Tranmere win at Southend which would be a surprise.
Saunders plays with Bean dropped to the bench. Holloway, Fred and Hayes all start with McClure on the bench with Craig so it looks like we're going for it today.
As it stands Bury are 2 points behind with a game in hand. Wycombe have 60 mins to sort this out. Would be great if Newport could
Should have been 2-0 Bury but fortunately it isn't. Should have just had another one - Bury certain to win this game Southend 1-0 up. Now 3 points behind with a game in hand over Wycombe. Looking bad at present.
****ing hell. 4 attempts in 30 secs resulting in a corner from which after several more attempts Wycombe get the goal that's been coming. But now Cheltenham have a corner. Deaman should have had a second yellow. Lucky man
I think the referee has forgotten the time. We have played 6 of the 3 extra mins so far and we have another corner.
At half time all of the top 7 are winning 1-0, except Burton and Luton who are playing each other with their score at 0-0
Went out the room to make a cup of tea and came back to find it was 2-1. Sod the tea i need a large glass of cider brandy!
Bloody hell how much added time was there? Don't matter as we scraped home but Bury have reduced our better goal difference to 5 goals
Been out all afternoon, so glad we won, but it seems as if everyone is on form at the moment. With Shrewsbury in particularly good form. So nervous.
