Bristol Rovers go into this weekend's game looking to pick up their first three points of 2017.

Rovers: Darrell Clarke's men will be aiming to continue their fantastic home form from 2016.

Team News: Rovers are without Peter Hartley who is the only long term injury at the club.

Darrell's View:”I'm looking for a reaction following Monday's defeat, we need to put in a good performance in front of our home supporters.
"Northampton obviously won the league last season in League Two, but we have managed to get six points ahead of them this campaign so far, which is good.
"For me, the teams that were promoted to League One last season have more than held their own this season and we expect a tough game on Saturday."

Opposition: Tomorrow's opponents Northampton Town currently sit in 16th place in the SkyBet League One table with 30 points from their 25 games this season. Rob Page's men are coming off the back of a difficult festive period, after securing three points against Oxford United on Boxing Day, the Cobblers have suffered back to back losses at the hands of Sheffield United and Bradford City in their last two fixtures.

Dangerman - Alex Revell: The experienced forward is Northampton's top goalscorer this season, with nine goals to name in all competitions.
A product of the Cambridge United academy, Revell joined Northampton Town during pre-season and scored his first goal for the Cobblers in their 1-1 draw against Charlton

Last Time Out: Charlie Collkett's injury time strike secured all three points for Darrell Clarke's side at Sixfields back in October.

Tickets: Supporters can Pay on the Day for tomorrow's fixture.

One of the best performances I have seen this season, clean sheet, five goals and even DC ought to be happy after that performance. Was told that Leadbitter is injured so all fit defenders on the pitch this afternoon, we wont find a team so pathetic as Northampton were in the future. By the way who was this Jon Jo they were asking for the score at the end

We would have beaten anyone today. At times we looked unplayable against a decent Cobblers team. Harrison deserves the plaudits for a clinical performance with some really good defensive work too. And McChrystal showed just what we've been missing - leadership and a calming, organising presence at the back. His positioning is like having an extra defender - really clever. And Tom Lockyer had his best game for a good while.

Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes. Orgasmic!

    Brilliant team performance.

Brilliant defensive work by all back 4. McChrystal is not our answer to our defensive issue. Pace and age is an issue for me but I tell you what, after that today, he can stay until we find someone better. We missed having a proper leader in the pitch and thats not disrespect to Lockyer. I like Locks a lot and will go very far in the game I think. But Macca is a real leader and his leadership showed today. Full backs had a good game too. Thought J. Clarkes shot was going in near the end.

Brilliant midfield work by Ollie and Lines. Funny how we win without Sinclair then put him in against Charlton and we lose. Leave him out again and we win. Just an observation! Think Ollie and Lines are now our best CM pairing as they compliment each other very well. Ollie has been playing outstanding recently.

Brilliant wing play by Bodin and Montano. Were a constant thorn into Northamptons side. Thought Moore did well when he came on too.

Brilliant work by our forwards too. Taylor didnt score butr he worked hard. Best I seen from him recently. And Harrison, Mr at the right place at the right time. The 1st goal for him really gave him a massive confidence boost and he was outstanding. I just wish we see this from him more often.

I would give McChrystal a run and watch the goals against dry up. He made such a difference, and he certainly looks like the answer to me. Some decent, experienced cover would be good, by why change a winning formula?

Rob Page had to apologise for comments he made after the game. He said it was like men against girls!

Since we started the slump I've told anyone who will listen (even DC) that having McCrystal in the defence as a limited defender could make the difference. It's no coincidence that over the last two season McCrystal and Locker pairing helped keeping the opposition out. Macca and Locks know each other's game to a tee and it was evident in yesterday's match. Having Macca organising and being vocal helped the defence no end. Whilst I am going on about coincidences, for the past two years Sinclair has been out second half of the season and we have won more than lost. Unfortunately at the end of this season he will most probably be gone. Fan favourite, all round great humble guy who hit his level. Only way he is in L1 is because the promise DC made.
