If you pepys are talking about Gareth Bale, I'd love to see him rip into an England side, causing chaos. Exclusively on the opposite side to where Bertie is playing, of course. I just have this mean streak in me which wants Bale to put into perspective all the over-hyped heroes England have. Who couldn't take pleasure in seeing Bale make Jack Wilshere look the donkey that he actually is, for example.
So today is the return of the 2nd annual Hunger Games of football, i.e. the Super League play-off. For the winner, the comparative wealth and riches of the WSL, for the loser a metaphorical death as the club are asset stripped by the WSL. This match is a ****ing disgrace and a travesty. If two teams in parallel leagues win their respective leagues, they should be promoted. No if's, no but's. It would not be accepted to have a play-off between the Conference North and South or the Ryman League and the Southern League, so why should it be acceptable in women's football? Such a joke.
You mean like in Germany when there's a playoff between the team who finished 16th in the Bundesliga and 3rd in the 2 Bundesliga? Or have I misread your hyperbolic post?
Yes you have misread my post. "3rd in the 2 Bundesliga?" "if two teams in parallel leagues win their respective leagues..." Key word there, win. It means coming first, not third.
Bale practicing holding up a trophy as he doesn't want to drop the European Championship one on 10th July (Don't worry, I don't seriously think that Wales will win it - I'm not quite that delusional...)
I suppose that if it's a year of shocks then Wales being European Champions is as good a shock as any
PL you gain no support or sympathy when you drop in to post for the first time in a long time .... and just to have a moan.
Lloyd Isgrove scores a header from a corner to possibly send Barnsley to the Championship. He's 5 ft and a bit.
The frequency of someone's posting should not be a consideration, but rather the content of their post and strength of their argument. I am not surprised. If someone who was really into women's football has grown tired and lost interest in it, what chance would someone who was never interested in it have?
