Had a bit of a spell off working out, but back in action. Have been inconsistent for the last 3-4 months, but got myself a new treadmill since the old one broke, and now feeling great again after just 2 workouts.

Did 2.0 miles in 20 minutes on first day back, 2.6 miles in 25 minutes today on a higher incline. Aiming to be back at 3 miles/5k in 29/30 minutes by middle of next week. It's amazing that a lot of it is just learning how to control your breathing again.

I think the reason why I haven't dropped far below form is because I've maintained my healthy diet.

My best/quickest time is 3 miles in 25 mins. So just over 8 minute miles, which isn't amazing by athletic standards, but I'm personally proud of it.

Anyone else into fitness? What's your diet like? Current weight and height? Goals?

I've put some weight on, naturally, but not that much -

    Height - 1.84m

    Current weight - 11st 3

Goal weight - Back down to about 10 stone 10. (Half stone drop). Skinny as **** I know, but if all the excess weight is in fat then it might as well come off.

I love to eat so I need to keep my cardio up.

    I try to eat -

Lean protein - Tuna, mackrel, chicken etc.

Fats - Mostly from nuts, some fatty fish.

Water - 3 litres a day minimum. A galon during the summer.

I take vitamins - Trying to incorporate some cod liver oil.

I've just been on a mega diet for the last 7 weeks. I play football and do excercise bike and squash. 7 weeks ago I was 15 stone 7. I'm 5 foot 10. I weight 13 stone 12 now. My target weight by 1 aug 2015 is 13 stone for my brothers birthday. I'm getting there but very slowly.

I have a personal trainer now as I need to deliver a PB at the Great North Run.
He's worked up a plan for me which is quite tough but already feeling the benefits. I popped out a 10k run at the weekend for tue first time since Sept 14 as i've had issues with my plantar fiiscitis.
Here is my plan.. Oh and I have to fit kettlebell sessions in around this lot too..
By the way the yellow days are when I'm abroad with either work or pleasure.
Turkey in 52c heat will kill me if I run more than 5 mile lol.

I like the gym. I'm more of a lifter than runner (I've got a running machine though, always handy from the bad weather and ****hole I live in).

I'm currently using Mr Hyde pre-workout, not a massive fan, taste like pissy calpol and def doesn't give you that pump C4 gives you (that is a favourite of mine). Currently using Whey Protein 80 Concentrate from the proteinworks. Some flavors are amazing. The Stracciatella is particularly good.

I use an SIS electrolyte mix to rehydrate.

Remember though, if running put lots of vaseline either side of your balls so you don't get sore.

Mate I always take vaseline to the gym, always do the nips and inner thighs. I think some lads worry I'm about to pound them in the showers.

They were right to be worried.

Aye my nips got all bleedy once after a 22k training run. I literally lube up for every run over 5k now.
It also comes in handy if you need a cheeky **** and want to get the right level of slide.

I smoke 60 Woodbine untipped a day and sup 12 bottles of Brown a night.
Must say I feel much better for cutting back and feel pretty confident of a PB for my next Atlantic crossing sponsored swim.

This is a real problem when exercising in the tropics. However found my wifes Eurax (for vaginal itches) does the trick. I get some funny looks though when they find it in my bag going through airport security.
Am back on the treadmill after a long spell off and now running 5km in 24mins. Play golf regularly but no exercise here with buggies and caddies.

When I'm training in Turkey I thought about using a camelback hydration pack but now I'll get some minge cream to help with the sweaty bollocks.
