If we are to sign 5/6 top players, that means many of the current squad leaving and some careful consideration on who is worth keeping.

    Here's my choice:
    Pants
    Pickford
    New no.2/3 Gk

    PVA
    Jones
    JOS
    Rev (1yr deal)
    new RB
    New CB
    Coates (buy)
    Brown (new deal)

    Catts
    Seb
    Rodwell (cb cover too)
    Gomez
    Giacch
    AJ
    Watmore
    2 new midfielders

    Defoe
    2 new forwards

    Sell...
    Brid
    Buckley
    Wickham-
    Fletcher-
    Vito-
Only Fletcher is possibly good enough of those but would ditch him myself

    Don't renew:
    Alvarez
    Vergini

    Possible targets from UK:
    RB - Johnson, Richards
CB- Jonny Evans, van Dijk (+Coates)
    Mid - Sinclair, Faurlin, dembele
Fwd- Podolski, Borini, Weimann, Campbell, Austin, Michu

    GK- Pants,Pickford, new 3rd keeper.
    RB- Jones, new RB
CB- Coates, O'Shea, Rodwell, van dijk
    LB- PVA, Robertson
    CM- Catts, Larsson, Gomez, Fer
AM- AJ(court case pending)Watmore, Giacc, Bruma
CF- Defoe, Wickham, Podolski & Mandron

Didn't want wholesale changes but I think need 8 with a few out of the door.

Mate I've had it with Wickham. He's ****ing terrible. PVA's run today that he ignored

You wouldn't keep Rev or Brown? Interesting.
Wouldn't take Fer - bad egg I fear.
Robertson is excellent but others might beat us to him and we already have a good starting lb.

We need two LBs, PAV could be used infront of him too. I wouldn't give Brown a new contract. Space needed to redevelop the position. MAybe give rev a contract, depends on the budget. Fer is a beast, very good player, if dick stays he's the perfect signing for Dick to get the best out of, he's powerful, gets up and down the pitch, great engine and a good all round Midfielder. Exactly what we need imo.

In an ideal world Wickham would be gone. But getting shot of him Fletch and Graham and replacing them is a big ask.

Haven't watched him much but two clubs relegated with him and the QPR allegations of certain players not trying worry me a bit.

I'd keep Brown at the club, maybe not starting as often but as cover and potentially develop him as a coach. Easy option as he's already here rather than signing an unknown. Rev I'm thinking the same and he'd be my LB cover. Suppose we could sign him then either a RB or lb. must say Jones has impressed recently.

I want us to step away from signing and resigning old fellas, I want our squad places taken up by fantastic potential and prue quality. We've got a wage list to keep down, every squad place matters. So for me putting nobody who's leaving their prime on contracts unless they're head shoulder above anything we've got.

I think that's idealistic and a bit risky and think we'd be wise to keep him for one more year, maybe on reduced wages. He's comfortable here and with possibility of coaching role in nr future I'm sure he'd stay rather than go to Bournemouth or something to get a few more starts.

But we wouldn't be recruiting him, just not getting rid. No-brainer I think

I suppose we should expect this sort of thing now. <doh>

    Predictable, inevitable and boring.

Pops, please make allowance for our juvenile visitors, it could have taken him hours to think that one up.

Ah I did wonder about that. Just on list of those set to be leaving City in the Telegraph today. Every club verdict for season and players 'out'.
    Reckon Evans is going?

Will it be like Tiote playing from Catts' pocket?

Been carried long enough. Didn't progress as he should, shame as he had the foundations, we saw it ourselves. He'll be a lower premier league CB once he leaves you, Hopefully we progress adequately that he drops beneath us.

When asked to lead the line he's absolutely shocking mate, he needs shot rather than sold.

You're right, he's not had a good game since the days Vidic used to carry him on his back.
