For me it's... CH: Brighton or Sheffield Wednesday L1: Walsall or Bradford L2: Accrington, Wimbledon or Plymouth DTLW
Would love to see Sheff Wed back in the Prem. They've been exiled for 16 years!! And relegated to League One TWICE in that spell. That's twice as bad as we had it. Failing that, Brighton would be a laugh, and the first time for them in the Prem which is always nice. And of course Wimbledon from League Two.
Be good to have Brighton back....give Bournemouth a rival. Joking aside....how good would that be for the South Coast Massif.
Almost the perfect scenario, just a shame that other south coast giant is missing - but unfortunately they missed out on the National League playoffs, so will have to wait at least another 5 years before Eastleigh complete the picture!
Like to see Brighton in the interests of natural justice; Walsall or Barnsley? That's difficult. Really liked both sets of fans when they came to us. But OK Walsall, as I like Midlands clubs; Pompey. I would like to see Pompey rise from the ashes, sneak into the Championship and stay there. They could occasionally boast of victories over big clubs who've hit hard times, and we could be really smug and patronising.
Plymouth Argyle vs Portsmouth First Leg: Fratton Park - Thursday 12th - 19:45 KO This should be a cracking game. Very difficult to call.
Brighton and Wimbledon would be nice, for differing reasons (and as has been mentioned, in Brighton's case for the sake of fairness). Nice easy away fixture for me to get to next season too!
Who I think will go up CH: Hull L1: Barnsley L2: Accrington Who I want to go up CH: Hull......I like Steve Bruce and their fans a pretty funny L1: Barnsley....I'm an adopted "Tyke" on their forum L2: Wimbledon....It's still a wonderful football story and gives hope to scores of teams all over the country.
I will go against the trend and say who I don't want to go up. Championship - Derby, because I have never forgiven them for unjustly beating us in the playoffs many moons ago. League 1 - Millwall, because I can still remember when their ultras (before ultras was a used term) in their blue masks visited the Dell in the late 70s - horrible people then! League 2 - Portsmouth, because all the other League 2 clubs need the income generated by the 'best supported team' in the country when they roll into town!
So the bookies have Pompey play off favorites (am not sure why!?) And Brighton have a good chance. Could be Brighton, Bournemouth and Saints all in the top flight !
