Agree with this, the lad will come good this season he just needed a bit of time to acclimatise to playing in a higher division. His time at the Euros will have done him the power of good......
Any feedback from our U21away friendly with Kings-Lynn? We won 4-1 and Sandro played 60 mins. Plus, Gregor-Cox scored some goals. Any inputs as to significance to the 1st team are welcome.

QPR Under-21s win 4-1 at Kings Langley on Saturday Reece Grego-Cox (2) and Gianni Crichlow on target either side of an own goal Victory maintains young R’s winning start to pre-season REECE Grego-Cox’s double helped QPR’s Under-21s maintain their winning start to pre-season at Kings Langley on Saturday. In the first of four games in the space of seven days for Paul Hall’s side, they needed less than minute to open the scoring. Grego-Cox provided the breakthrough – slotting home from Ryan Manning’s pass with just 50 seconds on the clock. That was the way it remained until five minutes into the second half, as Gianni Crichlow deservedly doubled the R’s lead. The lead was soon reduced, though, as the hosts pulled a goal back just before the hour-mark. Rangers would have the final say, however, as two more goals in the closing eight minutes set the seal on victory. First, a mix-up in the home side’s defence resulted in an own goal before Grego-Cox added his second of the afternoon, heading home substitute Niko Hamalainen’s cross at the far post. Next up for the young R's in pre-season is a trip to Hendon on Monday night. QPR: Lumley, Kakay, Trialist, Sandro (Hamalainen 60), Trialist, Arthur, Crichlow (Adams 60), Comley, Grego-Cox, Manning (Darbyshire 46), Prohouly. Oh please, please, someone come in for him......what a terrible piece of Redknapp business with one of his mates....... Rubin Kazan show interest in QPR’s Sandro By David McIntyre 18/07/2016 please log in to view this image Russian club Rubin Kazan are showing some interest in a potential deal to sign Sandro from QPR. Rangers are desperate to offload the Brazilian midfielder, who ended last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion. Sandro, 27, recently failed a medical at Sporting Lisbon after a deal was agreed in principle for him to join the Portuguese club. He moved to Loftus Road from Tottenham for £6min September 2014. Sandro was plagued by knee problems prior to that transfer and has made just 28 league appearances for the R’s. He featured for QPR’s development side in a pre-season friendlyagainst non-League King’s Langley on Saturday. Meanwhile, QPR are giving a trial to 18-year-old Finnish winger Mikael Soisalo. http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/football-wls-qpr-sandro-rubin-kazan-interest
Promising news, good for Grego-Cox and unreal that Manning is still here.He was meant to be one of the hottest young prospects around when we snapped him up,and he's been left to rot for two years.Typical QPR behaviour !
It won't make any difference,he'll fail the medical anyway ! Interesting trial for the young Finnish winger.
I'm not sure if this has been raised elsewhere, but I remain concerned about our right-back position. I'm not convinced about Perch, Onuoha could be off (and it's not his position really, is it?), which leaves Darnell Furlong, who doesn't yet seem to be considered ready. Obviously if Onuoha and Caulker do go to Bournemouth, and after I've finished laughing about that, one would imagine Hall and Lynch would be the central pairing, but cover would be needed. There's Bidwell and Robinson competing for left-back, so that looks pretty good. T'is the season for Chery to shine in midfield, methinks, but agree about the possible lack of wide men. I share the worries about a striker too. Would be nice to offload Sandro (yes, I know he's not a striker) and use the monies from that, plus the sale of Phillips and Fer to buy McCormack.
Good points Ubes........not sure we could afford McCormack, Fulham would want to recoup a good chunk of the 12m they paid for him......stupid money....... If anyone I'd go for Naki Wells from Huddersfield, in fact we should have gone for him 2 or 3 seasons ago when he left Bradford, but Redknapp preferred to wheel and deal in the loan market and brought in Maiga, which worked really well....
I noticed a couple of our Championship rivals had games over here this weekend. Newcastle beat Bohemians 6-0 and Leeds beat Shamrock Rovers 3-0. Not too sure if either of the Irish clubs put out their strongest 11 as they played each other the night before.
I see Sandro played a full 90 mins - he must love these matches:- U21S PRE-SEASON: STAINES TOWN 1, QPR 2 Monday night’s nine-goal thriller at Hendon – had the chance to go ahead on the 20-minute mark. The Trialist’s spot-kick, though, was well saved by Town goalkeeper Jack Turner. The same player also went close on 38 minutes. Turner denied him again, tipping over his latest effort. At the other end, Rangers had Joe Lumley to thank on the stroke of half-time for keeping out a quickly-taken free-kick. Grego-Cox was introduced eight minutes after the interval, and almost set up the opener only for Ebere Eze’s shot to be saved by Turner. Turner was finally beaten on 77 minutes, as this time Rangers made no mistake from the spot. After substitute Gianni Crichlow’s cross was handled, Grego-Cox dispatched the penalty high to the goalkeeper’s left. No sooner did they have one, Rangers added a second three minutes later. A mistake in the Staines backline allowed the same Trialist who had earlier missed the penalty to make amends. Staines soon pulled one back through Tre Mitford and almost found a last-gasp equaliser, but Mitchal Gough struck the woodwork. QPR: Lumley, Kakay, Manning (Williams 68), Sandro, Paul, Hamalainen, Trialist, Comley, Trialist, Eze (Crichlow 68), Trialist (Grego-Cox 53). Goals: Grego-Cox 77 pen, Trialist 80. I noticed this in the news. Chelsea sent as many as 35 players on loan last season. Do we have any loan players on our books this year?
Well at least Rob Green never tried this trick:- Bournemouth gifted comical own goal on USA pre-season tour Bournemouth gifted comical own goal on USA pre-season tour The most ridiculous own goal you are likely to see? Bournemouth are gifted a comical own goal on their pre-season tour of the USA, as Minnesota United and Cameroon international goalkeeper Sammy Ndjock throws the ball into his own net. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/36857987
Any young player that signs for Chelsea generally disappears into a 'footballing black hole', there should be a cap on the number of players clubs can hold, they're genuinely hindering the development of young talent...
No doubt those of us of a certain vintage can remember Gary Sprake doing the same thing when playing for Leeds, unfortunately it was not televised so no comparison unfortunately......
Have to say Strolls not sure that's the Gary Sprake one even though they've put his name against it, same end result, but he did his at Anfield against Liverpool and that clip doesn't look like Anfield to me........ Jamie Pollock, what a star......
