The Summer/Pre-Season Thread

According to Newsnow Rovers have had a bid turned down by Peterborough for one of their strikers believed to be Tom Nichols saying the offer was to low. There are three other strikers mentioned in the article but Peterborough have said it was not Luke James

 

Just looked at the Rovers news and read that we were looking ? at Ariel Borysuik, and I thought he looked a bit like Stuart Sinclair. Does anybody know if this is just a Gas Chat rumour or is there some truth in it

 

Owner of Peterborough tweeted this.... Double bid made to sign both Nichols and James.

 

Forked tongue comes to mind.

 

I dont think DC will be happy that his transfer business has been made public. DC likes to keep this stuff private!

 

With Hartley gone we seem to be light in defence and I was hoping that a GK would have been signed by now and does that mean that we are still looking for 10 players despite the one and only signing so far

 

I think its more than 10 players now because we have let Hartley go so he will need replacing too.

 

Hopefully there will be a flurry of announcements soon. A lot of contracts end in June.

 

Michael Smith's gone to Hearts

 

Alfie Kilgour has signed a new contract the last of the five who were offered new deals

 

I had the pleasure of speaking to Alfie at some of the central league games, he come across as a really nice lad and I hope to see him playing again very soon.

 

I hope this coming week is busy. Contracts would have ran out by now and this would be a busy time. Hope our club is involved.

 

Just looked on our wikipwdia page and we have 16 players nearly half are defenders with no GKs
