The drought is over when football streams back into our lives at 3pm on Saturday afternoon at Adams Park when the Chairboys start their 2015/16 campaign against the Minstermen, eleven weeks after our big day out at Wembley, an epic day that finally ended in the disappointment of loosing a penalty shoot out, but lets hope we can be back there next May with the Chairboys triumphant. There will be lots of changes from the Wembley line up with four of the starting line up having left the club but the main one is that Matt Ingram returns in goal. I will be finishing work at 1.30 pm and rushing down to Adams Park collecting my season ticket from the info office and once again taking my place on the terrace and cheering the lads on to victory.
Hope so Guy. It would be nice to get off to a good start. I'm off to Spain on Monday but hopefully I'll be able to keep in touch
im leaving work at 2:45 on Saturday for a quick sprint down to the stadium - excited to see football back and lets hope we can get off to a good start! The back 4 pretty much picks itself and everything else is difficult - im expecting a 442 with banton rowe blooms wood, then hayes upfront with either Thompson or holloway
Try using this to create your starting 11 and formation http://startingeleven.co.uk/ When you have created your lineup just right click on the image, copy image url then in your post click the image icon and then Ctrl+v to paste the url and that's it.
Now i know the season is upun us with Guy posting his preview. It will be interseting on what team Ainsworth picks with the new signings, i imagine the biggest dilemma will be who plays as replacement for Alfie Mawson Stewart or Rowe.
I reckon the back 4 will be: JJ - Pierre - Stewart - Sido Midfield is more interesting: Rowe Harriman Bean front 3 of: Wood - Thompson - Hayes I will probably be totally wrong re midfeld, but i think the defense is a cert Is this right? please log in to view this image
So that leaves us with 8 (inc Gaz). Who will be left off the bench, given that Lynch will have to be there. I'm guessing it will be easier to leave off McGinn as he has been mentioned as being 8 weeks behind the others in training.
The centre back pairing on the green pitch of JJ and Sido looks interesting I think it may be a 4-4-2 with a midfield of Wood Rowe Bean and Harriman/Banton depending on how attacking Gaz feels
According to Bill Turnbull, it appears someone has "nicked the line". Bloody annoying. Been looking forward to this.
