My saturday job in a supermarket was to relabel (add a extra few days) to bacon, sausages cheese cooked meats that had gone out of date
It's a Moroccan banger, made from minced lamb, onion, cumin and fenugreek. they normally grill theirs before eating and wash it down with mint tea. the sausage skin is made from left-over balloons.
baboons-arse shaped sausage or a lamb- sausage filled, squeaky-poodle shaped balloon. i'm not sure which is worse.
It's all about the housekeeping.....know what your missus has bought and make sure she hasn't hidden all the perishables at the back of the fridge. Good housekeeping = money saved.
I do all of our shopping. She makes me buy bags and bags of friggin' salad leaves and they never get eaten, at about £1.25 a bag it's not exactly shrapnel. I wouldn't mind if she chucked a bag of 27p carrots out!
my biggest gripe is all the perfectly good food wasted and disposed by the supermarkets - especially so nowadays with so many food banks around -one evening I recently watched shop staff in Sainsburys ripping open unsold in -date packets of bread and putting it into bin liners - obscene in view
