Here are all of our draws. 16 of them in total. It turns out that only 1 of them needed to have been a win for us to have won the league. Which draw for you should have been the win needed? Rovers 0 Grimsby 0 ***** nervous 1st game of the season & on tv FGR 1 Rovers 1 ***** should have gone 2-0 up before we threw it away Eastleigh 1 Rovers 1 ***** we had Mildenhall sent off Rovers 1 Dover 1 ***** conceded a late goal in injury time Aldershot 2 Rovers 2 ***** was 2-1 up but gave away a late(ish) goal Alfreton 0 Rovers 0 ***** huffed and puffed, should have won that against a team who have been relegted. Rovers 1 Kidderminster 1 ***** Blissett scored the goal against us. Did he keep us down with this goal? Chester 2 Rovers 2 ***** was winning 2-0 but threw it away Wrexham 0 Rovers 0 ***** Alex Wall hit the bar (McChrystal was in goal) Welling 0 Rovers 0 ***** huffed and puffed, should have won that. Welling only just survived relegation. Rovers 1 Torquay 1 ***** didnt create enough Woking 0 Rovers 0 ***** had 2 goals disallowed which replays showed was wrong decisions Dartford 2 Rovers 2 ***** took the lead twice and threw it away. Dartford have been relegated Halifax 2 Rovers 2 ***** came back from 2-0 down and should have won it in the end. Mildenhall made a massive error Maccs o Rovers 0 ***** very poor game. Deserved nothing Dover 1 Rovers 1 ***** conceded a late goal again against Dover. Twice this happened against them. Puddy massive error I repeat, just 1 of these draws ended up needed to be a win and as you can clearly see, many should have been wins!
The Chester and Dartford ones were the most avoidable draws. While frustrating because of late goals in both games, Dover are a decent side and their performance at the Mem probably deserved a point.
