Time to stop rotation for the sake of rotation. I agree with Shearer, who said: Pick players on merit, swap them out where appropriate. I'd personally switch formation, (3-4-3: Darlow; Hayden, Hanley, Clark; Yedlin, Shelvey, Diame, Lazaar; Ritchie, Mitrovic, Gouffran) but we all know that ain't happening. So instead we need Lascelles dropped for Hanley or Mbemba, whoever is fit. Dummett needs to sit it out and bring Lazaar in. Perez definitely out for Diame, Gouff rested too. Gayle hopefully on the bench. Mitro on for Murph. NUFC (4-2-3-1): Darlow Yedlin, Hanley, Clark, Lazaar Hayden, Shelvey Ritchie, Diame, Ameobi Mitrovic 3-1 defeat.
I hope our fans turn up on Saturday vocally. We should turn SJP into a ****ing cauldron of aggression towards McClaren as it was his ineptitude which caused our drop into the Championship.
Other than Allardyce and Kinnear, McLaren is the most incompetent manager we've had in the last 25 years or more and will **** up his tactics for Derby no doubt. We've got players coming back into the team so I expect the performances to pick up a bit in the next few games. 2-0 to the lads.
Hmm maybe we all need to get behind Jim here. If we all predict a 3-1 win then maybe we can make it happen as the 12th man? Perhaps we just haven't shown Jim the support he deserves. 3-1 win darlow hat trick
Couple of interesting stats from the BBC website 13.5% of the shots that Newcastle have attempted this season have resulted in goals - the best ratio in the Championship. Newcastle have had 64 more shots on target than they have allowed their opponents this season (150 v 86); the biggest gap by a Championship side Think we definitely need a couple of changes tomorrow to liven things up a bit, going for a tight 2-1 win
Hope everyone is right and we pick up 3 points tomorrow. The chasing teams below just keep on winning with Sheff Wed winning again tonight and it's starting to look a bit compact up at the top. We need to keep that 7 points gap as long as we can, especially with some toughies coming up.
We should see a big change if Diame goes back into the starting line up for Perez, he does way more. Next week if Atsu and Gayle come back as well we'll be a different team. Give Gouff one final chance, I wouldn't risk Sam Am. We should win this is Laecelles, Yedlin, Hayden and Gouff can get over their horror shows on Wednesday and pull their bloody weight again, otherwise we'll be hammered - Derby are on form and won't balls up all the chances QPR did.
