Upcoming releases that people are looking out for? Here's mine -

Ghostpoet - Dark Days + Canapes
    Thee Oh Sees - Orc
    Chelsea Wolfe - Hiss Spun
Queens Of The Stone Age - Villains

    Think there's more I've forgotten.

Also starting to explore the music of a couple of bands I don't know much about, but they seem interesting - Black Lips and Xiu Xiu.

My shopping list grows and grows, but I've noticed the prices don't seem to come down! I remember those days when you could get genuine bargains on ebay and Amazon, now they charge you full whack AND still don't pay tax. Stinks.

if I wrote a list of the best 500 double albums, that wouldn't make the cut.

The 5 you listed wouldn't make my top 1500 albums. And for Marley I think Natty Dread is better.

As far as double albums go for me the best is Wheels Of Fire by Cream.

Not sure of my favourite doubles but Tago Mago (Can), Metal Box (PiL) and Trout Mask would all be up there.

It certainly is a strong contender.

How he left Roulette off it, I didn't understand then and I don't understand now.

Have a listen to The Sherlocks. They played Linnet for free a year or so back. Come a long way since then.

Trouble is over here that is one of the albums where most tracks come up as Video Not Available, otherwise
Sitting On Top Of The World, As You Said and Born Under A Bad Sign (Which I first heard by Albert King and was surprised to find was written by Booker T and that great soul singer William Bell, and explains why their record company which also owned Stax asked them to record it) would have been put up.

That's a shame. Can you play the clips I posted ? I presume you have a vinyl copy (or even a CD) of the double album ?.
