Upcoming releases that people are looking out for? Here's mine - Ghostpoet - Dark Days + Canapes Thee Oh Sees - Orc Chelsea Wolfe - Hiss Spun Queens Of The Stone Age - Villains Think there's more I've forgotten. Also starting to explore the music of a couple of bands I don't know much about, but they seem interesting - Black Lips and Xiu Xiu. My shopping list grows and grows, but I've noticed the prices don't seem to come down! I remember those days when you could get genuine bargains on ebay and Amazon, now they charge you full whack AND still don't pay tax. Stinks.
I knew the white album would upset a few Agree with these live ones though, particularly live at Leeds I can I add another? Moon dance by van the man
Here we go For Your Pleasure - Roxy Music Big Calm - Morcheeba Spirit of Eden - Talk Talk Urban Hymns - The Verve Closer - Joy Division
Restricting myself to different artists... Selling England By The Pound - Genesis The Flat Earth - Thomas Dolby English Settlement - XTC Please Don't Touch - Steve Hackett Sunburst Finish - Be Bop Deluxe
Not sure of my favourite doubles but Tago Mago (Can), Metal Box (PiL) and Trout Mask would all be up there.
It certainly is a strong contender. How he left Roulette off it, I didn't understand then and I don't understand now.
Have a listen to The Sherlocks. They played Linnet for free a year or so back. Come a long way since then.
Trouble is over here that is one of the albums where most tracks come up as Video Not Available, otherwise Sitting On Top Of The World, As You Said and Born Under A Bad Sign (Which I first heard by Albert King and was surprised to find was written by Booker T and that great soul singer William Bell, and explains why their record company which also owned Stax asked them to record it) would have been put up.
That's a shame. Can you play the clips I posted ? I presume you have a vinyl copy (or even a CD) of the double album ?.
