It feels now like we are a carcus and will be picked off by any predator. I also see that Leicester's team are starting to be taken apart as well. Such is football run by money men.

Yes, if rumours are to be believed, Mahrez and Kante could be leaving as well. It's a repeat of what happened to Saints a few seasons ago, but they've been able to bounce back. I'm not sure that any of the Saints players that were bought for silly money have starred in their new teams - rather played a 'blt part'.

Edit - I've seen a rumour that Former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is a shock contender to succeed Koeman at Southampton. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/manuel-pellegrini-shock-contender-replace-8115980

PLEASE let this be true (also in the Sunday Mirror) - Graham Dorrans is set to kick-off Roberto Di Matteo’s revolution at Aston Villa. The Scotland international wants to be re-united with a manager with whom he worked at West Bromwich Albion – and Norwich boss Alex Neil will let him leave if the price is right!!!!! <ok>

Only problem with that is that Dorrans could be quite useful in the championship, though he was pretty much gash in the top flight. Sadly, this could be leveled at the vast majority of players on NCFC's books

Same as Grabban situ for me, Dorrans isn't that good so let him go. Villa maybe rivals for promotion but if they are buying him they are buying a mid field that could well be worse than ours. I mean even last champ campaign he was ok at best and not a player I'd hope to see start.

Bah!

Villa will be a surprise if they bounce straight back
They were shocking last year and have an awful lot to do

Hopefully we will have Tettey back as long as he is not poached then we can forget Dorrans

I know some people don't like Dorrans and although he isn't quite PL quality he was quite good in the Championship and I don't believe in possibly helping another team that's looking to bounce straight back up.

Sorry if it's been put before. But gf just told me about us chasing Patrick Roberts on loan. YES! YES! YES! If Redmond goes, he is a fantastic player to come in.

To run through the latest rumours:

-Dorrans, I'd be happy to let go for a relatively large fee. He shouldn't be a starter for us in the championship, never mind the PL, and at 29 he's not likely to improve significantly. Of course it's a squad game and we need rotation options, but I'd rather we rip off Villa and invest wisely in someone younger. As for improving rivals, well if Graham Dorrans is all Villa need to turn that ramshackle squad into promotion contenders, I'll eat my hat. They'll have money to spend, but I don't think they can do enough of a rebuild in one summer to worry us.

-Roberts I'd be keen on. 7 goals in 12 from the right wing is impressive even if it is in the SPL. Sell Redmond for ~£10m then bring him in as his replacement, even if it is only on loan.

-Tomlin, not seen mentioned but apparently we're interested. Bristol City had him on loan and have bid £1.5m for him reportedly, although Tomlin himself responded making out that fee to be wrong. Not sure I'd be too bothered by him.

Tettey is rumoured to want a move back to Norway, so I fear we could yet lose him.

More info please, never heard of him or where he's from.
Attacking winger from Fulham. Man City bought him from them for in excess of 12m. He was on loan at Celtic last season where he wowed everyone. Celtic want him on loan again next season. Man City agreed to allow him to be registered for their Champions League Qualifiers. Apparently they can cancel that if they get a better offer (sounds a bit strange).

He is 19, and scored 6 goals in 11 SPL games from the wing.

I would have thought they were talking about a possible loan move as a cheap but effective Redmond replacement. It sounds a bit strange to me, but if we can loan him, I think it would be class.

I don't want Tomlin.

He's a chubba, and not very mobile. He's pretty skillful and a decent Championship player, I don't think he's what we need.

I can't believe Villa would want Dorrans. All the millions they are talking about them having, and their first statement of intent, to send out a message to the rest of the league is.....Graham Dorrans.

Thanks, as far as I'm concerned anyone will be better than lazy Arse Redmond.

If Dorran's isn't in our plans then we should get rid of him for the best price we can. We shouldn't care if he goes to our competition. We spent far too much time this seasons worrying about other teams and not focusing on our own issues / performance.

Makes absolutely no sense to sell to a potential rival though. Alex Neil seemed to play him last season, so who's to say he isn't part of our plans? other clubs just may be interested in him.
