Only really have eyes for the Southwell bumper tomorrow and the selection is an obvious one in ROYAL RUBY 11/4
Henderson is the master bumper trainer and won bumpers with a number of this ones siblings including Barbers Shop.
Who's My Jockey will obviously have followers being a half brother to Hurricane Fly but the mare has produced little else and this ones sales price dropped dramatically last time it went through the ring.

I think all Baracula's experience will come in handy in the Hexham bumper and 11/2 is fair.

Bobster , that bumper is the equivalent of a Scotland v Slovenia international mate.
Gun to my head I might be tempted into an each way on Corinda but I certainly wouldn't look to put you off yours either.

I'm also drawn to this McCain runner in the first. Fire and Smoke at 6/1. Point form nothing to shout about but regularly competitive against horses that are now rated 110 ish. That's fair enough at 6's. Small play.

    Non Runner

Would be keen on the second fav now - Well Above Par at 6/5 in what looks a match.

Does nearly every Lee Carter runner get gambled or do I just always seem to see them when they do?!

    Morning, pilgrims.

To use a military expression ‘oooooooooooooooooooh Colonel not in front of the Privates’, sorry wrong military expression, that’s quite an ‘about turn’ re Barbers Shop! I seem to recall that you and the Board boy used to lambast him in the old days of 606 and now you are using the legendary horse as a foundation for your tips! It’s taken a few years Stick, my old love, but glad you’ve finally seen the light re Mr Henderson’s former star. A couple of Close Harmony’s offspring have won on debut (Heather Royal, what a lovely name for a mare, by the way, and Barbers himself) so that should be a major ‘plus’ re your wager today. Bit weak in the old market at the min though.

Meanwhile, someone did indeed, as you say, lose a fair degree of ‘wedge’ (to use a terrible ‘Cock-enn-nee’ word) on that Hurricane Fly half-brother. Sold for €120,000 as a yearling and then €60,000 as a 3YO.

    Good luck, team.

Well I never Barney old bean. As I recall my lambasting of Barbers Shop was purely in the context of him ever getting up the hill at NHGQ at the end of a Gold Cup. He patently didn't stay 3m 2f in any conditions. A fact borne out by his actions. Never would I say that he was not a fine animal and from a fine family especially in the context of National Hunt Flat races.
I wouldn't worried about the weakness in the market. In fact I will wager that the peak price will be around midday today although everything has been skewed by a well fancied non-runner. Expect to see ROYAL RUBY shorten in the half hour before the off.

I've had a few days off since Chelts, so time to have a go I think <ok>
One for you all to avoid then, that takes my interest:
    Southwell
    2.10 Nobel Leader

If there's any return from that, I'm also interested in Derrick D'anjou in the 3.40 at the same racecourse.

    Good Luck All

Chicken Stew and Dumplings. 8/10. I took the usual point off because of the thickness of the carrots and a further point because one piece of carrot wasn’t so much a bit of carrot but half a bally carrot!

They dropping like flies in that Southwell Bumper. The favourite out now (the Hurricane Fly half-bro). Together with the earlier non-runner, Truckers Lodge, who was just a 9/2 chance at the time of withdrawal. Stick, now looks a match between your lad and The Cabaret Queen.

Backed lucent dream in the first at wolves last night looks to have an exceptional chance and the market has shown that too.
The second race at Hexham sees MASTER RAJEEM carrying some serious weight but he proved he can carry that at ayr also has c/d win to the belt . Out and out staying plodder .
Southwell 240 harry could fly home

Major Cornwallis looks overpriced at 10/1 in the next at Wolves should be good for a place
