A formal bid had been made by Villa for Kodjia.. http://readastonvilla.com/2016/07/20/villa-make-formal-bid-striker/ http://talksport.com/football/aston...eo-targets-deal-bristol-city-striker-jonathan http://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2016/aston-villa-submit-bid-for-jonathan-kodjia/
He's quite a good singer and he can act a bit I give you that but I'm not sure what he is like up front
Talksport say we are holding out for £5m - if this is true and we let him go for that, heads need to roll at AG. We are not going to buy a young, rapid 20+ goals a season striker with bags of room to improve (like when he gets to grips with the offside law) in the championship for £5m. Every player has their price but £5m is not it for JK, especially if there is a bidding war. £8m and we would have to give it serious thought, £10m probably enough...?
5 MILLION your having a laugh come back with a proper offer of 12 million then we might start thinking, even then we have to replace him. If Kojack wants out then get the best price,if he wants to stay then tell em to peee offfff.
If he is allowed to leave for that amount then it will be a major catastrophe. We don't need to sell, he is under contract (not that it means a lot these days), and he is our primary striker. If he wants to leave then it's up to the club to get every penny out of Villa that they can for his signature.
I'm going by what Gale and Gray went for.If we are serious about having a go at the prem then the better players need to be kept, and better players arrive to take them to the next level. 5 million idiots, you will not by his left foot for that.
And there was me thinking we might finally have a formula for success. For 5 million we would not find a suitable replacement with his goals and on the incoming front it has gone eerily quiet, but I suppose with the lads off sunning themselves that was to be expected. The plot thickens and my mind wonder what we can expect next, EH.
Bid rejected according to this report http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...tml?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490
Remember the Nicky Maynard fiasco, you never know what our board will do..... still its nice to have a player being linked with bigger clubs and big money, its been a while.
