Mazzarri has been reported talking about next season - although it does not mean much it seems to indicate he is not planning to leave and does not know of any plans to sack him. He has been coy on the areas the Hornets need to improve in the summer, as he again repeated his desire to see out all three years of his contract ahead of Swansea's visit to Vicarage Road. But he did say he wants two players in every position to ensure there is plenty of competition in the squad. He added: "I want to put in the head of players that I want the best performance and the most points possible. I always want the maximum I can get from them. We have it this year with Troy Deeney and Stefano Okaka; competition maximises performance. Next year we want two very good players and I think also that this is what our fans would like to see."
Ranieri to come in? http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...eri-Walter-Mazzarri-Leicester-City-Gino-Pozzo
Although I am not a great fan of Mazzarri I would give him a chance for next year. Changing managers every year will never see us improve our players' understanding of each other.
agreed.... he just does not endear himself to the fans and we are used to having good relationships with our managers ( excluding bassett and a couple of others)
U23's have just kicked off against Crewe at Gresty Road. If they lose by 7 or 8 goals, will Harry Kewell feel smug?
http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/west-brom-transfer-target-troy-12913901 Deeney happy to stay at Watford, thankfully.
He may know that WM has only a 50% chance of keeping his job .Less than 4 points i think he will be gone 6+ he stays
Watford manager Walter Mazzarri says he is '100 per cent' staying at the club. http://www.skysports.com/football/n...i-says-he-is-100-per-cent-staying-at-the-club
If he only gets 3 or 4 more points then i think he will be gone because that will drop us to 14th to 15th
Rotten news about Elton John: he suffered a "potentially deadly" bacterial infection during a tour, forcing him to spend two nights in intensive care and cancel concerts in the US, his management says. The singer became violently ill at the end of a tour of South America last week, requiring him to return to the UK for urgent treatment. Nine concerts that were due to be staged in Las Vegas and California over the next two weeks have been cancelled. He is now resting at home.
When did we sign Sven Kums? https://www.clubcall.com/watford/unhappy-kums-eyes-watford-return-1849777.html
There were a few like that we signed last season that went relatively under the radar - Kims, Uche Agbo and Aly Malle Aly and Uche are both young, so seems to be in the Pozzo mould of signing players to loan out, develop, and sell on for a good fee. Kums is a bit of a strange one at 29, and not exactly having a flattering career and can't get into the Udinese team, so can't see him having any impact with us either
Wonder how much these guys cost and how much we are paying them. Understand it's the Pozzo model but we do need more players ready to fit into our team.
Yes we bought Kums but he was always for Udinese. Think it was one of the ways for us to pay Udinese back. Don't think there is any reason for him to come back to us except for is to sell him.
