well I'm nervous know its massive will give every thing ive got shouting, singing, drinking, enjoying, exciting come the lads, lets get in that stadium and sing our hearts out, bring it on. Having a drink now to help sleep I hope. Everybody going remember you follow Hull city many of you for a long time and you never know the next time if ever we get to Wembley, make the most of it and sing your head off and ENJOY
Having just looked, it basically sold out the first day of non season ticket holder sales. Then some of the corporate/player guest/sponsors expensive tickets (which hadn't been released to anyone outside of those groups until this point) were left over to sell the next morning along with some extras allocated by the FA. Never reached general sale as I said.
In my experience they don't and they won't. They have no emotional involvement with the outcome or real identification with the team. They enjoy 'big occasions' and the buzz they provide, in a voyeuristic way. They dilute the atmosphere and their only 'contribution' is to put cash in the till for grateful owners.
United can **** the **** off, I'll never forget those ****ers supporting Burnley at Turf Moor in the Eighties!
Likewise, the Wendies believe it or not are the better half of Shefield. I was at Turf Moor that day and will never forget the Blunts cheering Burnley on, having said that roles reversed I may have done the same... but **** em !
I'm not going tomorrow. I've only been twice this year when I've won tickets in a work raffle after deciding against renewal following a second disgusting price rise in a row, hot on the heels of the Hull Tigers ****. It's not appropriate to suddenly turn up for a Wembley game. I also remain highly unconvinced the Allams will sell upon promotion. I think it's much more likely they will enjoy the proceeds and fame of owning a Premier League football club. For me, it's over and out until that family **** off completely.
So you'll go when its free ? WTF do you think picks up the bills, guarantee's the Bank and so on. WTF stepped forward when the club was on the brink of bankruptcy and guaranteed to meet all the debts ? Would you have chipped in and helped off-set the enormous cost if the gamble had gone the opposite way and the club would have been relegated from the Championship instead of promoted ? Hull City are at Wembley today for the 4th time in 8 years playing for a place in the Premier League. We have a £10m striker on the pitch and a team packed with Internationals. And you'll only go to support them when you get a free ticket ? There is little wonder this club spent so long bouncing about at the bottom of the Football League ladder fighting off High Court Injunctions if all the supporters took that attitude and no-one had of stepped forward to buy the club. It was for sale long enough, and no one stepped up. But lets forget about that and lambast the only person who did. FFS let your bitterness go and support the shirt. UTT!
why are people worried about ticket sales, there's 250k more people living in Sheffield than Hull and they've only managed just over 10k more sales - they're a joke, it's their big day out, they're just like excited children talking about their inflatables and balloons - City are going to well and truly piss on their party - our players are focused on the task rather than the occasion - forget all the **** in the background, get the job done, c'mon you Tigers, c'mon City - Lets do it !!!!
There's no mention of "free" in the post you quoted. The person who stepped forward deserves to be lambasted for his subsequent actions. People have different values & principles to you. They'll also have fresher breath & tighter arseholes. Feel free to spout some more "us real supporters, from back in the day" ****. Maybe even mention Torquay.
Let's see whether we want this discussion tomorrow. Today is about the fans getting behind the team and the players playing to their potential.
How is their ticket sales a joke? They have sold out. How could they have sold any more? Other than them being given all the tickets we haven't sold, which the FA won't do. Which is a good job as that would be embarrassing.
Sheffield. Metropolitan area includes places with their own teams. Sheffield urban area 575,000 with 2 football teams, Hull urban area 450,000 with one football teams. Not to mention how many of our season ticket holders and supporters come from East Riding. The amount of Hull, people as a percentage of population who get involved is frankly disappointing.
