Thought Morgan was sloppy today, and Clyne hasn't been the same for a while - not great at crossing.

And we have looked pretty bad since then. Yes we have ground out results and looked good against Newcastle since then but it hasn't been that good really. Scrappy and backs to the wall stuff grinding out results which fortunately we have got our fair share of.

I think we all knew Morgan was playing his last season no matter how his publicity advisors 'please like me' spin continues. Clyne hasn't been on the same level as earlier in the season since he played for the Liverpool national team.

Yes. I thought Morgan did as well/better than anyone today, and Clyne did nothing really wrong. You're seeing things there.

I was listening to Radio Solent and they went into raptures about a 45 yard pinpoint pass from Spider to Mane, and he seemed to be playing well enough throughout, Clynes name didn't come up a lot but he may have just been getting on with his defending.

The vine I posted doesn't seem to work anymore so I removed it, may be still visible on #saintsfc

Surely if they wanted to stay or wanted a move, they would still want to put on a show. Footballers are simpler than people think...put them on a pitch and they try to win...I can see no undercurrent to that.

Playing badly could cost them a lucrative transfer, so it is logical that they would still play to the best of their ability only not with the same passion?

That is what I was getting at. Morgan and Clyne seem to lack passion. They are still good players and obviously will do they odd bit of good play. But for me both have lacked the passion.

Clyne has always liked to stay somewhat back and semi-central in support rather than go to the byline. He'll get deep and cross at times, but not like Bertrand. I don't see a change. And I don't think there's anything wrong with it per se. He just needs a partner to work with. I always thought he and Puncheon had good chemistry, for example.

Schneiderlin seems okay to me. He's been a little quieter recently but nothing drastic. Maybe just the injury and/or lots of chopping and changing upfront has hampered him a bit, plus maybe not having Alderweireld. I wouldn't single him or Clyne out as showing less effort or being less effective than anyone else.

But they are human. At some point it's natural for heads to drop and I think we are seeing a little of that the last few games. Koeman needs to rally the troops.

It does raise the ugly spectre of what happens later in the season. If Schneiderlin's not going to be around or Alderweireld then maybe we need to start playing Gardos or Reed or bleeding in some other youngsters. We're not there yet, though.

With Murray red carded and Mutch, less than 100%, Fraser Campbell and M Chamakh missing we have the opportunity to get back into the groove.

Play as a team and win as a team. We all know scoring is the problem, but we also let in a goal. Learn from these last few games, but also important not to be weighed down by it. And that is hard for us fans as well.

If you listen to Tintin, he was taken off for wrongfully stealing Harrison Reed's shirt and being the most untalented footballer to grace the premier league :)

    *I may have exagerated*

That was what I suspected, I had mentioned on another site yesterday, that he gets a raw deal, players bounce off of him and it always looks worse than it is, most look to get the number of the bus that just hit them......
