Abit of a sh!t day for me tomorrow, I'm having surgery on the tendons on my wrist. I damaged them in the gym about a year ago, and they've never recovered. This is ruling me out of going to the match on Sunday. Worse than that though, I'm gona be unable to hold my lads for a while, go to the gym or do any Jui Jitsu, so all in all I'm pretty pished off tonight.
Good God, I was wondering what I had said wrong but reading the previous threads I see what a pigs ear my post was., I claim innocence through old age as I only saw visions of your kids wanting to cuddle you to make you better and you fighting them off with one hand to protect the poorly one. I'm off for a lie down in a darkened room now.
Tees, I worked for many years in a business where wrists, hands, and forearms were particularly vulnerable We averaged three to four A&E hospital cases per month - tendons, veins, arteries, etc. were commonplace. But I can't honestly remember a single case where tendons, once treated, didn't mend completely. From what little you've said, I'd guess it's just a simple case of re-aligning it. Do what they tell you, don't aggravate it, and you should be fine. Chin up, mate, good luck.
Thanks very much mate. My consultant said it's usually a 95% full recovery success rate, but going off my MRI results he said my success rate is 70%.. I need to try be as patient with it as I can afterwards, cause it's gona do my head in not being able to use it for a while. My life's very hectic usually, so it's gona be a shock to the system.
