Hi Batmanu, this is a follow up to your claim on 606 that 81 points will win the league. You maybe right, its the most realistic figure say Arsenal & City can get and its way out of Chelsea's reach. The thing is you forgot about Man Utd. to reach 81 points we need 27 more, thats 9 wins out of 14 games. Thats more than likely going to be the case for us. Now the other 5 games can be Arsenal (a) City (h) Chelsea (h&a) and Liverpool (a). We can afford to lose all 5 and still reach 81 points from our 9 other games ( do you expect the likes of wolves and wigan to beat us really? ) but its more likly we will pick up some points from the games. 1 draw = 82 2 draws = 83 1 a win = 84 1 win & 1 draw = 85 2 wins = 87... you get the jist. Even 1 win out of the 5 tough games will still give us the advantage. I suspect 3 wins and 2 draws will be the real outcome. Arsenal cannot cope with us at all. You will be over confident and expect us to respect you. We have different ideas and we will have no pressure at all. City at home means city desperately defending. Chelsea will be tough though and Liverpool....hahahaha. Be serious, you know thats a forgone conclusion in all fairness...wolves beat them for god sake. Anyway, what I am saying is to reach 81 points we can drop 15 points, its more likely we will be on 85-90 points, putting the title race beyond Chelsea and if either Arsenal or City drop a few more points, beyond yourselves aswell. Chelsea btw can drop just 5 points to reach that target. They dont have a chance, especially now they have to tinker to fit torres in the team. Potential finishing totals if each team had perfect records from now to May. Man Utd - 96 Arsenal - 91 Man City - 87 Chelsea 86. Obviously nobody will get that amount due to head to heads and certain points dropped in those games for 1 or both teams but who looks more likely to you?
Obviously nobody will get that amount due to head to heads and certain points dropped in those games for 1 or both teams but who looks more likely to you? Arsenal
Not likely. We are by far and away the best team by quite a distance this season. For all the huffing and puffing of our rivals we have quietly and efficiently got on with things while the rest drop points here there and everywhere. Arsenal are about 5 players short of a title challenge that is actually a title challenge.
But you have Chelsea HOME and AWAY, Manchester derby, Liverpool, Spurs and US (at Emirates) while we have you and Liverpool at HOME and Spurs away......seems that we may have the upper hand......also we will be knocked out of the CL and have less games to worry about......
we dont have spurs, we may play chelsea twice in may and already be champions making them dead rubbers and man city home and arsenal away for most people is a united win. We dont need to be knocked out of things to be the best, we go to win everything every year. Its why we are the best team in this country, failure is not an option and we see no benefit from it. Unlike the other clubs.
we failed, as you already know it was rectified the seasons after. What happened to arsenal since 2005? See how you just did something stupid, asking about ourt single seasons of failure when you have failed for years. Not good, not good at all.
[CATASTROPHIC QUOTE FAILURE] = UnitedinRed "Another utterly thick retard arsenal fan. Do you morons share a brain cell or do you just have none". "oh and idioty, its 8 points." ...................................................... That reply was far from epic 54 minus 5 = Your thick as **** Now go and get your ****ing shine box
Sorry but I dont understand your retard language. Either use english or dont communicate with someone better than you ok.
Its related to a comment on bbc 606. You said 81 poinst will win you the league and I explained why that will be to low and 85-90 will win the league. 27 points is all we need, we can lose all our games against the top 4 and still get 27 points. 81 points will be good enough for 2nd or 3rd.
Do you really think we won't? Look through the history books and for United not to take 27 points from our last 14 games would be unprecedented. I think we will lose this season and will drop more than a few points before it's all said and done but if 81 ponts wins it, then I think we'll be champions. I think United and Arsenal will both beat that tally though and can't see City or Chelsea doing so. Time will tell.
Exactly, I even explained in detail how he was to low with his target. Was meant to be a sensible discussion but well, arsenal fans, discussion and sensible dont go together. Hopefully it will become an actual discussion not a group of arsenal fans getting shown up ( not including you batmanu, the others ). Anyway, point is 81 wont win the title, 85-90 will and only United and Arsenal can reach those heights, United alot easier.

Is there any particular reason as to why the Mancs seem to be clamouring to be Batmanu's personal fluffer?
