Up in Glasgow last night for jnrs bands latest gig.....they're starting to get a bit of a following, mostly teenagers but a few older too.....debuted two new tracks, a belting punked up cover of a song by Skepta, and finished their set with the bass player destroying his guitar! Here's the first of their new tracks....
We're back up to Glasgow tonight to see the fab Shed Seven, supported by The Twang (remember them? I saw them on an NME tour, and couldn't name you one tune!). We've seen Shed Seven loads of times, gigs are always great with a massive sing-a-long and happy vibe - really looking forward to this.....
This! @Steelmonkey How much did you have to bribe Steels JNR to ware QPR Bro? Top stuff Sounding good You must be so proud right now dude
Mega chuffed with their progress - last two gigs they've sold out their allocation and been better than the main act....they've been offered some headline slots early next year......also getting a bit of airtime on one of the local radio stations (they're friends with one of the younger DJs) He wears QPR gear quite a lot, has some current tops and a couple of retro shirts - unfortunately the top he's got on for the gig wasn't one of them, just looks like one! Ir's a work in progress, but the clubs in Glasgow are very anti-football colours being worn (for obvious reasons...) Hilariously, they're starting to get groupies following them about now too....my boy has a serious gjrlfriend, and she overheard some girls talking about them, and she was raging they're still all only 17, so plenty of time for them to improve and go somewhere if it takes off, but they are all pretty level headed and studying hard to get into Uni....
