Pretty much had to carry my exhausted boy in from the car. What a day! He was beyond excited to see a full St Mary's and sang his little heart out for the majority of the game. Definitely no danger of becoming a plastic scouser any more. Really impressed with Smallbone, didn't put a foot wrong. Djenpo looked unpredictable, and Armstrong solid. Grealish is everything I hate about modern footballers. When a 7yr old can see through your theatrics then a professional ref can. Knobber
Djenepo looks so uncoordinated. A bit like Bambi on ice, but when he gets it right he can cause a fair few problems for the opposition. Maybe he just needs to calm down a bit when in possession, as he always seems to be moving the ball before his body is ready to follow it, if that makes sense.
Think that is a positive for me. The defenders just have no idea what Djenepo is going to do. I think he is great at confusing the **** out of the defenders, granted sometimes he confuses himself. I would have him in the team over boufal anyday
I was sure that this would finish with: " But I've never met a nice South African" a la Spitting Image
This from the BBC match report "Southampton's first win in five matches moves them 10 points clear of the relegation zone" No mention that it puts us just 6 points off 6th place and a European spot or on the same points as Arsenal who never seem to be mentioned as being 10 points from relegation.
It’s a long shot I know, but we could be playing Arsenal at the end of March with both teams going for European qualification.
