I’m going to Singapore and than to Australia for four weeks at the end of the Month. I have tried downloading a VPN to my iPad before. Nord,Tunnel bear etc but they never seem to work properly usually in Europe or I have the completely wrong idea of what they are supposed to do.I have the notion that it hides my identity from the server / site in the uk and so allows me to use my iPad to watch / listen to what I use my iPad for in the UK . I don’t mind paying for a proper service just don’t want the frustration of not been able to get on the sites I want to Sky Go ,BBC etc . Any help ,info greatly appreciated
I use Express VPN, theres a few options that put you back in the UK.You used to be able to sign up for a months free trial not sure if thats still the case. I have used it for years, you can always get on Iplayer with some (not all) of the UK lines.
Would anyone interested in that type of thing use it on a fire stick if they were hypothetically streaming matches they shouldn’t be?
The last 2 or 3 days by VPN seems to have stopped working efficiently, seems to work occasionally but for the most part not. I contacted the provider and they said due to this virus people were working from home which was overloading the system. Has anyone else had similar issues?
Not personally yet, but I’m in a chat group with a few IT professionals locally. Round here it works fine in the morning, but come lunchtime when America logs on functionality nosedives so they’re advising their colleagues who depend on it whilst working from home to do as much PC-intensive work as possible in the morning then catch up on paperwork in the afternoon. Edit - should have added that this wasn’t universal and some were ok - it maybe depends on which VPN and where it’s hosted
Thanks for that, sounds like that is the reason, just too many people using it from home rather than using their companies system. Looks as if I'll have to download things I need to see whilst it's working.
I'll wager that VPN has never been used to get free Pornhub premium from Italy during the Coronavirus outbreak.
