Not wishing to scare anyone that already understands the magnitude of the problems we face. But if you don’t think it’s going to be that bad and have not drastically altered your behaviours then please listen to this upset and angry doctor talk about his experiences and fears for what is just around the corner. This is scary. We should have been in lockdown a week ago at least. If you as a government are slow to react and take it seriously, the general public will be the same and it will spread quicker.
Inserting images is hard! That says that the government has brokered a deal with the three major network providers to give everyone free calls and internet for a month, as well as opening up additional channels to improve bandwidth. They also changed the network display names to “STAY HOME” a few weeks ago! That one is just creepy somehow.
It's the basis of free market and Thatcherism - only think about yourself. The me me me culture that marketing has pushed.
I read that . Utterly disgusting attitude . I was waiting for him to say how the Fuzzy Wuzzies Don’t like it up em
Stupid people : It only has a 3% kill rate. Smart people : If I gave you 100 skittles & told you 3 of them will kill you, you would avoid all the skittles.
He made his money during the last financial crash. There is an excellent short video produced by Momentum which actually demonstrates his past is far from innocent. Lets not forget he is a millionaire banker and not one of us.
I don't want to make this a political debate, as this clearly transcends party politics, but I can't help wondering what the Conservatives in general, and the Tory press in particular, would be saying, if the Corona virus had occurred, and any of these measures had been introduced, under a Labour government. There would be claims of 'Magic money trees' and 'Impinging personal freedoms', and everyone would blame the left-wing loonies.
They said mask and gloves were enough to go to the grocery store. Liars! Everyone else had clothes on.
I don't like the way everyone seems to be moaning about their personal circumstance on the news this morning. We are living in unprecedented times, there will be hardship & pain. But we have to strive forward now, working for one another. Helping our communities, and paying special attention to the elderly & vulnerable. No point just moaning about everything and sinking into some sort of depression, now is the time to rise, and make good a bad situation. Today represents something new for me, and I'm a little scared. I'm ready for a few knock downs, but I'm not giving up. I hate change more than most, if I can adapt anyone can. Keep your faith.
I was going to go but woke up late I've heard that Tesco will be doing a 'nhs hour' tomorrow though so will probably take advantage of that.
I am hoping that people are starting to run out of space to stockpile stuff in their houses and running out of money to buy anymore. The very lovely Mrs Godders might then be able to do a normal shop and come home with everything she went out to buy.
https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/18...customers-total-disrespect-elderly-residents/ People really need to start calling this out these people, it's not enough to write to the Echo or post about it on social media imo. They need to be told there and then in the shop, and loudly, just what selfish and pathetic ****s they are being. Show them up for the embarrassment that they are.
