@cronemeister of course it's familiar it's the same one. the others didn't get done and that doesn't make this less likely. The fact these guys have the money makes this different .very different
It isn't happening. Why furlough staff if a sale is imminent. These costs would be transferred to PIF, relatively quickly, if it was the case
Is it not as simple as the fact that if the club lay these people off (albeit this will mainly be on a temporary basis) that he (as in NUFC) no longer need to pay their wages. They then have to go to the government direct to get their 80% which will take weeks....by which time Ashley will be sailing off into the sunset? #itshappening
and on top of this, a % of these people will find alternative employment in the meantime meaning that they never come back to the club. Not that we'll need to be looking to save money when these ****ing loaded A-Rabs come in.
Mike Ashley, once "worth" £3.2bn, is now worth around a fifth of that. While none of us would turn down a personal fortune in excess of £500m, he's a LONG way from the wealth needed to run a football club. He simply doesn't have the clout to bail NUFC out when he inevitably takes us down again. For this reason alone he'll sell.
perfect time to sneak in without so much attention from angry human rights activists .. it's taken somewhat of a back seat since they all started looking out for themselves recently.
