Players contracts ending on 30th June will be extended. No great shock there. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52188913
But this is why everyone on here reacts differently. We are a diverse group and one man's 'result' is another man's nightmare. I do try to post with this in mind and don't want to assume anything about anyone or them about me
Na that's fine, I do "get" what you're saying if that helps but they get enough coverage for doing **** all during the good times, and yet still get it whe times are bad to, just winds me up Plus like I said my mental state would rip apart anything atm because I just feel like ****, probably really in my usual happy go lucky mood currently.
Yep I think he has had the chest X-ray and that is it. Pneumonia is bad enough without coronavirus lurking.
My wife's company have furloughed 80% of their staff. They aren't making it up to 100% - My wife though, is apparently essential in order for the company to still function, so will continue to work from home. They've cut her salary by 20% though, not her hours, her salary! She's still working 5 days a week, actually having to be available longer hours yet they have cut her salary. They are in breach of employment law in so many ways, such as lack of consultation beforehand, lack of choice by the employee to accept or turn down the "request" that she take a lower salary, no end date on the reduced salary should business start up again normally... I dictated a couple of emails for her to send to HR and copied in her Line manager as HR have not been replying to her mails. I wound it back somewhat but the emails were...fairly direct and left no question as to how she felt. Her boss was on the phone within 3 minutes of the email going out, he apologised profusely, and is arranging a conference call with my wife and HR to allow them to explain why they think the company can just disregard employment law. She is currently "carrying out her role under protest" in readiness for an unfair dismissal claim regardless of whether she actually loses her job because of a refusal to accept the salary cut. We are talking about a medium sized brewery business, but apparently £120 per week could make the difference between the company surviving or not!!! To say I'm ****ing livid is the understatement of the year, whereas my wife just feels betrayed and upset.
Number 10 insisting this is 'precautionary' still and that he continues to lead. I'm sorry, but there is nothing heroic about insisting he is fine. Boris is unwell and he needs to be taken out of the spotlight and allowed to give his best efforts to recovering. There is nothing heroic about getting someone to soldier on and then doing more damage.
