Talking of which, when does Astro get parole? I'm sure he wants to join us wearing a black armband for the final, confirmed death of null and void.
So Liverpool will be "awarded" a title* (which was never in doubt) and three teams will be unfairly relegated, great news
Liverpool may clinch Premier League title in Merseyside derby played in Manchester Police are still refusing to budge over certain matches being played at neutral venues amid worries that fans could congregate outside of grounds, with the Merseyside derby seen as a prime candidate https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-clinch-premier-league-title-22103621
It's not going to make any difference to us; we're still going to lift the trophy and fans aren't allowed anywhere near anyway, and I understand the concerns too, but can't help feeling its a bit discriminating. Surely it should be all or nothing? And as we've already established in weeks of arguing, it would be unfair to ask all clubs to play at neutral venues because it takes away home advantage that other teams may have already of benefits from. #fueloxygensortedjustneedtheignition
I posted yesterday about Liverpool home games being played at neutral venues but there was a proviso - only at neutral venues until the points have been secured. I think it's very discriminatory and no matter what happens now, if fans do congregate we'll never know whether that would have happened anyway or whether it's being done to spite the authorities and fat Joe. Anyway I understand that groups of six meeting outdoors is perfectly fine now. Expect lots of groups of six around Anfield ......
So there will be an asterisk next to the title: * Would have set an all-time, unassailable points record had they not been unfairly penalised to not playing their last four league games at home.
But they're not though. That's the point. Don't get me wrong, I think home advantage behind closed doors is grotesquely over-estimated, but nonetheless, I can't see why Brighton can be handed a psychological advantage because they whined enough, nor why we're handed a disadvantage because fat Joe whined as well. Has he called for all Everton's home games to be played at neutral venues too? I certainly hope so.
From what I've read, Liverpool fans have claimed the *. I'm expecting to see lots of inventive tshirts, banners and flags when the time is right.
* People's Champions. I think we're welcome to celebrate on the Prem Board thread though, As long as we only go in groups of six, 'natch. I think everyone should go over there just to pay their respects to Null And Void's final passing though, but be careful - they're in mourning. @Suckmyklopp. Be gentle with them.
If you want to know what people are really like, don't judge them when all's going well but when a crisis hits. I've had my eyes opened by a few during this pandemic but tbh, I don't care what rival fans have to say about Liverpool and that will include before, during and after this terrible time we're all going through.
