hi fellas! well, british racing is back, isnt it great?? so,here are my first two selections, one at newcastle, and one in the french fillies guineas: newcastle,3 20: ive got the feel,TATHMEEN could add up more success this season, even though he has rocketed high in the handicap.but he loves it here, and even his last run in second was a good effort, because he didnt get the best of runs that day.so,if he gets the breaks today, another win could be in the offing for him. deauville,3 25: french fillies guineas wide open, but MARIETA can go well at decent odds.she finished her 2 year old season with a fine effort behind the high class albigna in the marcel de boussac, where she was second, and she has as good a chance as any today.e w value.
Close thing in the 1000G. Thought Guyon looked a certainty 300m out but instead of taking the rail he let the 2nd come up inside and then had to almost barge his way through a bit. The 2nd ran on well to almost come round the first 4 to snatch it. I think Speak of the Devil was unlucky and Guyon a tad lucky. Tropbeau well held.
newcastle,4 30: REQUINTO DAWN looks a viable e w player here.his last win might be a good few times ago,but hes dropped about 20 lbr since, and, after probably needing both outings in the autumn,he ran a much better race last time out, before falling in the straight.a further positive is that his yard is already off the mark today,so should be competitive off this mark.
Domino Darling put in as 5/2 favourite for the Pretty Polly, Talent and Taghrooda won this on route to the Oaks so nice race to start her in.
Victor Ludorum won that very readily. Hard to make a case against him in the French Derby now and 2/1 is still a fair price. Earthlight is laughable at 12/1. Tropbeau didn't get home and the straight track was always going to be tougher on the stamina. I will be surprised if the don't drop her in trip. Frankly Darling won well enough. There is more to come from her and bubbles are sure to be burst elsewhere before the Oaks. 66/1 is long gone now and I can dream for a wee while.
