Ranges aren't open here yet, we're still about three weeks behind on what is 'allowed'. The club's practice are isn't yet either, which is a sod as I could usually do with hitting 20 balls before a round to iron out whatever bad habit I've woken up with. Didn't use that driver yesterday, he put the shaft I wanted on when I got there so will be using it tomorrow. Weather looks ****e though so might not!
You have to give it a go. I’ve no time for golf it seems. I cancelled membership. May rejoin next spring and join a different club. There’s a proper old school members club in Droitwich. The course is much harder. The greens are excellent. They don’t let societies play there. Their full membership is about the same as what I’ve been paying for weekends and evenings. They even have a full size snooker table. I’ve played there a couple of times in a charity fundraiser event for the local hospice. There’s one hole I just don’t seem to be able to play. Which if you can be arsed look it up. The 11th. It’s an uphill par 3 should be a seven iron for me. There are two tee boxes for other holes on your right when you tee off and there is woodland behind the hole. Played it 3 times and lost my ball into the woodland, then played a short iron on sliced then onto the other tees. I never slice irons.
A drawing pad and pencils. I was quite the artist when young. Gave it a go about 4 weeks into lockdown and discovered my hands shake a little bit too much now.
I hope he didn’t pay the sticker price for it. https://www.affordablegolf.co.uk/ti...MI6YaU1Ivw6QIVZWHmCh1NvADQEAAYAiAAEgI67_D_BwE
No, half that. Still expensive but I've been spending the grand sum of **** all during Corona virus so it's a present to myself. Our club pro has mugged himself off, the cheapest I can find on line new is £100 more than I paid.
